    Poor kicking for goal...

    Is poor football.

Getting it in so often and it being wantonly wasted is just not good enough.

It cost us 2 points last week and it looks like costing us 4 points this week.

If you can't kick straight, don't play in the forward 50.

People go on about how how good ROK is, well here's a home truth to ROK. You are at best an average player until you learn to regularly kick goals from the opportunities that present themselves.

For a club that prices itself on professionalism, today's effort on the scoreboard was unprofessional.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I've seen worse goal kicking performances. Round 4 against the Crows last year springs to mind.

Our kicking today looks a lot worse because of how well our opposition are converting.

The conditions were perfect. It shows Sydney's poor kicking skills. What are they doing during their training? Meditating?

No it's still a very ordinary conversion rate.

I made that post when we had kicked 10.10. That isn't very ordinary. It's only below average.

A very ordinary conversion rate is 5.12

All the more reason Davis should be in our side.

              Playfair isn't a forwards asshole!

What do you expect when Roos himself says goalkicking isn't the most important aspect of being a forward.

We could be worse, we could be the Fremantle Dockers.

It wasn't just our kicking for goal that was awful today, it was our kicking in general. We kicked several goals from helicopter punts, but the number of poor disposals today by foot was astounding. They have 2 weeks to learn to kick again, and will need to be able to execute the basic skills if they want to feature at the pointy end of the season.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I don't understand this kicking issue. FFS they're professional footballers, how can their skill suddenly get worse. I can understand that young players' disposal coudl be ordinary, but the seniors players are crap as well.

Most of them have an extra week of goal kicking practice. They really need it.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Yep, apart from the second quarter when we were comprehensively outplayed in most departments, the ball winning today was more than reasonable. But we are a long way behind the top half dozen sides, at the very least, in ball usage. Utter butchery all afternoon.

I was literally tearing my hair out today.

Mickey O's miss from 25, McVeigh's miss from 35, Everitt's OOBOTFF, Rhino's sitter...the list goes on. No doubt about it that that's what cost us today (along with the drop in intensity in the second quarter).

I seriously wonder whether our blokes even practice thier goalkicking because on today's performance you wouldn't think so.

I've heard that Jude Bolton is the new goalkicking coach down the Lake Oval...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
