people are hard on the one guy who tries to create something.

Bit much to criticise players for not trying anything kicking back etc then have a go at this guy trying to create the play.

He always had these "brain" explosions at the crows, gets a bit excited. But he is being played way out of position. Id like to see him freed up into the midfield now, wether malceski is right or not

I thought he gave it a dip today, on an afternoon when our normally rebounding defence was static and unadventurous (B2 and Kennelly in particular). He made lots of mistakes but at least some of them were when trying to create something positive.

I have no idea what his defensive efforts were like. Our whole defence was uncharacteristically shambolic. It's rare that they give up so much time and space to opposition forwards. It was hard to know who was the worst down there, defensively.

It's hard to know without having seen the game, however, often times this caused by a static forward line offering no leads or half arsed leads. The poor rebounding backman has to run in circles whilst someone presents and if it doesn't happen, they end up looking pretty silly.

This is a frequent problem with our rebounding.

As others have said, if we can get him, Eski and Irish playing together, put him on the wing. His intent to play on and run the lines is excellent, he just needs support. I would much prefer to see a player make a mistake trying to attack, rather than just taking the easy option and offloading to a stationary player behind him. IMHO he's a busy attacking player and looks an excellent pick up.

Thought his decision-making was poor and constantly caught behind Johnson. A very poor day indeed and doesn't seem to have great footy instincts.

That said, that was probably his worst game of the year so we won't hang him yet.
