Sorry, Goodesy plays best when he gets to play wherever he damn well pleases.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Spot on captain....Spida could also help out in the ruck when the ball travels down into the forward line too.

        I like this structure

        O'loughlin -- White -- Jolly/Everitt

        Davis ----- Barlow ----- Rok

This structure involves the resting ruckman in the forward pocket, and 3 very versatile skilled players playing off the half forward line.

That half forward line is capable of pushing into the midfield and creating space for the other 3 forwards to lead into.

11 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 8 Marks, 1 Goal, 1 Behind, 1 Tackle, 1 Hitout, 3 Brownlow votes (his only votes)

Barlow is a midfielder. When he was let loose in the last Q against the Roos he had 9 possessions and broke the lines constantly.

He must be in the guts every minute of ground time he gets. Plays nothing like a CHF.

No. Every time he goes forward, he looks dangerous. He makes things happen when he goes forward. He has an instinct for where the posts are, he looks like he can take a good contested mark, and he is a @@@@ing awesome shot at goal. We are lacking a key position player, and Barlow fits perfectly. We don't need him in the midfield. We have guys like Moore, Jack, Bird, Schmidt, and also Veszpremi, Laidlaw, Meredith, Murphy, and possibly DOK developing, with McVeigh and Bevan taking huge steps this year. Who do we have to hold down a key position forward role that is even close to being ready? White, and then who? The silence is deafening.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Don't really care where Goodes goes but yes get Tadhg into the middle at least but preferably in the forward line.

I agree. He has been terrible every time he has been put in a key position. I have seen him at full forward & he got bored not being able to follow the ball. And hence got sloppy as a result. I have seen him at CHB & he just lacks the man on man skills to defend against experienced (& cluey) forwards.

He seriously needs to be left in a position where he can follow the flight of the ball. Roos has had him on a wing. I wouldn't mind seeing him as a ruck rover personally.

I think he can play everything like a mobile CHF (eg: Riewoldt).

The leads would be in slow motion. Your forward line would be slower than a Sunday arvo in Nowra. Davis is the slowest and most aerobically challenged small forward in the comp (possibly even in the VFL but we will find out next season). White playing alonside Spider or Jolly and being roved by a plus 30 year old veteran with arthritis would take us all back to the glory days of prop and cop. Poor old ROK would be able to terminate his contract on the grounds of unreasonable work load and Cheese is not and never will be a CHF. Just a question but where the **** is Moore in this nightmare?

                        A - Mick's not slow

                        B - White's not slow

                        C - Davis ain't slow

D - At least Jolly and Everitt can mark

                        E - Moore's in the guts

F - things are allowed to be changed around, I just think this would be a good starting point structurally.

A Magic is the quickest 32 year old in Australia

B White is slow - he can't count past 18

C The only thing quick about Davo is the fade out when his opponent runs away from him on the rebound. Poor bugger lacks confidence

D Spida last took a pack mark in the goal square in 1999

E The kid's got guts and therefore confidence

Your forward line is structurally sound. It just wouldn't move.
