It's a clear breach of the no-dickheads policy. Any midfielder that does not create stoppages and who plays with flair is a dickhead. Forward and backs have similar (but not exactly the same) dickhead parameters.

When was the last time a team put together by the Swans front reception desk which is faxed to the AFL on Thursday night actually been how they line-up?

The match committee pick 22 players, not put them in position for team sheets on Thursday.

And as for Playfair, yes kicking looked suss last week but he at least gave us some structure in our forward line without Hall which we were sadly missing over the first two weeks without Hall. For that alone he needed to be retained.

With MOL slotting 6 and HP 3 and in the best, is there a spot for BBH.

Barlow is injured didnt play in reserves - maybe right for next week - or Jesse White for Kennelly
Hope Kennelly is only 3-4 weeks but time will tell
            Love those Swans

He might not have played in the reserves cause he was a listed emergency, and they wanted him to be fresh should they have needed him for the seniors?

Roos on MMM before the game said he had a slight hamstring.

Nick Smith was stripped and did the pre-game warmup with the seniors.

It's quite funny, actually. I recall suggesting West Coast's youth was better than ours, and somebody made a snide remark suggesting Josh Kennedy was not in the same league as Barlow. Now Barlow [who I actually think is quite good] is playing in Canberra, and Kennedy has been a very strong player in the past few weeks.

I think that's true ATM, but not as meant!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

What are you basing this on? Barlow being injured? Or Barlow being dropped for Malceski who is basically an automatic selection? I still think Ed is the better player and will have the better career. One week hasn't changed that.

I have nothing against Barlow at all. I was disappointed he was dropped, particularly given he's in my SuperCoach team. It was just a mild irony in the context of the previous discussion.

I just don't think it's ironic considering he wasn't dropped on form. He was replaced by Malceski, who like I said, is basically an automatic selection when fit.
