Well You asked for it..
Walls is a @@@@wit. He might not be biased (Though I think he is somewhat), but the way he changes his mind in the course of a game is apalling. At one stage he'll be saying a team needs to "play on at all costs", next minute he starts saying they have to "hold the ball and control the tempo"....One minute a player is "out of form and off the pace..." Next thing, they are the "form player of the team and the team can't win without them!!"
He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

i normally dont object to football commentators , as everyone has a different opinion and they are entitled to it...but yesterday , Tony Shaw just continuously talked crap for the entire game. He just talked and talked , even when there was nothing to talk about he still @@@@en talked.
the worst commentator in football history.
Tony , please shut the @@@@ upComment

yeah alot of people bag robert walls, but i like him because hes very direct in what he says, hes not scared to say anything, and i reckon his comments are appropriate. Loved how he shot down Mark Harvey "on the couch" a couple of weeks back.
Hudson, Quartermaine, Lane, Commetti and Bruce are my favourite callers.
Tim Watson, Walls, Darcy, Lynch, Healy, would be my fav special comments guys..Comment

Pickering was by far the worst commentator yesterday, and our previous game televised on Fox was just as bad from Pickers.
He quite clearly hates the swans, and our style of play, and doesn't even try and hide that fact.
Quite simply, Liam Pickering shouldn't be commentating. It's a conflict of interest, as he's a player manager for alot of blokes running around.Ed Considine's day out - Round 3, 16th April 1995.

I usually don't pay too much attention to the commentator's bias - on the basis that I figure I am probably more attuned to anti-Swans bias than criticism of other clubs and figure that they are probably fairly even handed. However, I only saw the final qtr on Saturday and thought that they were a bit of a joke. The silence at times was deafening. Generally it seemed to me that the umps were letting a fair bit go, which was good because it was pretty frantic football. The commentators were letting a fair bit go too, but only on the Port side. At the end of the day, who cares? I guess they feed a fir bit of anti-Sydney hysteria in the other states and territory, but at the end of the day I don't think the Swans are going anywhere.Comment

I was interested to see that there was a thread about this because I thought exactly the same thing while watching the game. I even sent a friend an SMS about it. While Casey is harmless (but his basketball style is a bit annoying at times) the other two were a complete disgrace. It was like the days when Tim Gossage called the Eagles games, although his crime was worse as he was actually the play by play commentator.
Pickering was probably led along by Shaw, but both were so biased it was embarassing.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

I'd have to agree with Nico here.

We were watching the game this week at a friends place who has Austar (thanks Jodi) and we commented on how one sided the commentary was. Our thoughts were that for us watching, as avid Swans supporters and members, you expect us to be one eyed about the game, but a commentator should be unbiased. It's a pity so many of them aren't. As has been said, Huddo commentating the 05 SF was the most professional piece of commentating I have ever heard. He is a one eyed Cats fan, but his call was sensational that night in that you had no idea of that because he was so professional.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

These guys are such ardent Port supporters - to the point of being funny.
A Port player tackled fairly was described as "pile driven into the ground".
It made the final surge even sweeter. But to be fair - they were also complimentary about a lot of the Swan?s game and players.Comment
