    Is McVeigh In Danger.../Bald Facts

of becoming a GUN? He's looking FRIGHTENINGLY consistent and versatile. O'Keefe/Goodes-like motor, kicks goals, inside, outside and my favourite area of improvement for him - tackles. I could wait for a couple more games to see if he can string a few more together but where's the fun in that?

After 50 games he's looking more and more like a key player for the Bloods.

I was wrong about Gerard and his hair.

    He's been awesome this year.

It's good to see that Roosy's faith in him is being re-paid.

He has certainly lifted this year. In huge steps.

I think he has proved all his doubters wrong.

A few more games like that and he'll officially be on gun status.

He's playing so well and consistently that Annie has had to stop speeding for the entire season.

Seriously though, he really has been playing very well this season and both his tackling and goal kicking are greatly improved. He now seems to be thinking like a good footballer.

Finds space a heck of a lot of time and not just in the back half. Covers a lot of groud and I reckon he has managed a goal on the run from close in, in most games.

What about Bevan - for me he has also been a massive improver

Yeah agreed, as a Bevo and McVeigh critic, I'm happily eating my words, both have been consistantly good this year...Having said that..the critisism over the last few years was warranted at the time.

Yep. I have been hugely impressed with Bevan this year. His defensive work is as good as ever, probably even better as he no longer gets into the back of opposition players as much as he used to. I think the biggest improvement has come in his decision-making - he's less likely to get caught with the ball or to give off a handball to someone else in a bad position. Instead he thinks about it and usually executes very well. His kicking is nice to watch. Very rarely kicks those lollipops that some players are fond of. I really have enjoyed watching him play this year.

And, getting back on-topic, Macca's been pretty awesome, too.

Both seem to be confidence players, and they both should be very high on confidence at this point.

both Mcveigh and Bevan have gone to the next level this year I feel. Both have improved in general play, decision making has improved, kicking has improved. Both are doing very well, but Mcveigh especially has impressed me- I have always doubted him but he has taken the next step this year!

Definitely agree that Bevo and McVeigh have been big improvers this year. It'll be interesting to see who gets the Most Improved Player at the end of the season.
