Spida in doubt, considered 50/50. Fosdike will be considered for a recall. Davo not.

I can't wait for this game. Hopefully it'll be a walk in the park for the boys!!

Big Al, the irreverend GoSwannies14 (& fam) and I have got the BEST seats for this match. We're gunna have a top day!!

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Doesn't say that Davis won't be considered, only that it's hard to change a winning side.

They should bring Davo back in ... he's had a lot of practice in Canberra !!!

Would it be OK if 3 more join the party? I'm about to order tickets, but have no idea where is a good spot? (Quite understand if u want to be exclusive though!!)

This seems pretty specific to me:

"Fossie for the first time comes into contention this week for selection," Roos said.

"He's probably in a little bit of a different position to Davo and Benny Mathews, Luke Brennan, and younger guys like Nick Smith and Jesse White."

Fossie is the first reserve, where the other 5 blokes named are in the larger 'second reserves' group.

Sure ... we're not shy. We're happy to meet all and sundry.

We're sitting in Bay 28 Lower - Row A - right next to the bench.

I am a bit nervous and Everitt's output for 2008. He seems to be very much struggling in his final year ala Banger Harvey.

An extended delay to his start and now the hammy that will keep him from at least 2 weeks.

I don't want to appear too negative, but in the last 9 rounds, it may be wise not to take him on the road until the finals.

This would then leave us exposed in the ruck or down back, depending on what they decide with LRT. Means that Ted (who is in good form) will have specific duties to man up.

Also, Jolls up against his old master and for the first time, he goes in as clearly the better ruck-rover than Jeff White.

For mine, that will remain one of the most bizarre trading events in the history of the AFL. Melbourne giving up Darren Jolly.

                          Really?

We did give them a first round pick. He'd hardly played when he left either.

                            Yes. Really.

In a period when there has been an absolute dirth of quality ruck men, they let one go. Yes he was inexperienced and young, etc but still. Seems strange to let a good prospect go. Especially when they're so hard to find.

Just out of curiosity, what did they do with that Rd 1 pick?

They picked Lynden Dunn (or Bate maybe?).

There were quite a few ruckmen around at that time though.
Ottens & Simmonds, both who were rated higher than Jolly.

That, and Jolly wanted to go. Most people were surprised that we gave our first round pick for him. He had no runs on the board at that stage.

Mind you, the shock that we gave a first round for Jolly paled in comparison to the first round we gave up for Ted.

Both have been reasonable buys in hindsight.
