YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring on North or the Aints! Am really looking forward to next weeks home final. Could be our last for a few years too so we should all make the most of it.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment

Ablett will definitly go, and Grundy will probably get to the arse, which is a shame for he played quite well.
If Vesz doesn't get picked I'm tearing up my membership.Grandson of South Melbourne legend Keith Schaefer.Comment

an interesting thing happened at the game as the players left the field. From where we stood it looked as of Jared Crouch was giving us all a goodbye wave.
He did the lap of the members stand side, but when returning to the race walked around all of the players milled there and came to the churchill stand people, raised his hands in the air and gave us all a clap. Nothing strange in that but he just seemed to be taking it all in. Perhaps for the last time? I've never seen him do that before. I've seen him clap the crowd plenty of times but the look on his face and his deliberate movements to get to all of us is something I don't recall him ever doing before.
I guess time will tell whether I'm reading too much into it. It certainly made me get a little tearyHere's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

My three family members couldn't go , gave the seats to three punters I met on the kebab stand and who were consigned to the concourse
They had never been to a game of AFL, now they are totally hooked, altho had to spend the entire game explaining the rules.
They reckon it was the best team sport they had ever seen.
In the end they were makin more noise than anyone in the Brewongle.
The two girls both had a ear piercing whistles......

I didn't notice Crouch but then I wasn't looking for anyone waving goodbye. Wait and see.
At this stage we seem to be losing: Crouch, Davis, Matthews, Everitt, Ablett and Fosdike according to various pundits. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

JUST QUIETLY ....
On Thursday I entered the pre-aftermatch function draw after getting the weekly email.
As they mentioned the drawing of the prizes tonight, I said to my friend, you watch - I'm going to win a prize. Just as I said the word "prize", my name was called out.
I won third prize in the beauty contest kiddies!!! 2009 membership for FREE (to the value of my 2008 premiership club).
You've gotta be happy with that.
Fanks swannies.
Very, very, VERYWild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Pretty good win, though a fairly scrappy game due to the rain, I didn't count on Brisbane being that bad! We still make too many errors to be a real threat in finals but the intensity was a million times better than last week!
Our small men dominated as you'd expect given the conditions. Hall did well not to kill anyone given he had three on him the whole night. Vesz is becoming a star, and it was a fairly solid game from Malceski which was good to see for his confidence. It's not unusual for players to struggle with form/confidence after coming back from knee reconstructions, so at least with the fancy knee surgery his recovery process has been basically accelerated by a few months.
Feels a lot like last year (big win in Rd 22 again) but I think we are still a reasonable chance of winning next week given (a) we're playing at home, and (b) we're not playing Collingwood! (Unless the Saints and Bombers draw) A (competitive) semi-final appearance would still be a terrific effort in a transition year given the youth we've introduced to the team and the injuries that we've been carrying.
But seriously, who else saw Leo try to pop Tadhg's shoulder back in on the field?! That was freaking insane, I think everyone around us winced!!Comment

Yes he did take his eyes off the ball, but having seen the incident right in front of where I was sitting, there wasnt much in it.
He'll be right.
well he should be alright.
There could be a problem if he has carry over points.
If anything though, i expect a reprimand.
Nothing in judes.
If he's gone for that, with the good record he has, the AFL tribunal has truly turned to crap.
I loved it how excited vespa was whenever he kicked a goal.
No matter what was happening during the game he continued to chase and pressure his opponents into making mistakes.
He chased his butt off tonight and looked thoroughly spent at the end of it all. What more could you ask for.
I loved it when he came off late in the third quarter after kicking another goal to rapturous applause and a sort of standing ovation from the crowd.
He's the sort of player that will boost membership numbers.
He's the sort of player who woos new spectators to the game.
GOALS
Sydney Swans: Moore 4, Veszpremi 4, Jack 2, McVeigh 2, Everitt, Malceski, Bird, Richards, Hall
Barring everitt and hall....they are the future of the club....and what an exciting future it looks like being!!WE NEED CHEESE!!!Comment
