A nice pick up, well played sir!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I think it's actually a perfectly reasonable thread topic, it is dissapointing that people are using it as an opportunity to heap crap on a fan who is being objective about the club/a player rather than blatantly one eyed.

Hard to dispute many of the points in here.

Clumsy, lazy, stupid are the words I would use.

Dont agree with the Davis comparison myself, but can see why it was made. Any player who bumps/and or collects someone in the head is likely to go. To have two charges of rough play and not miss a game is good fortune. To do the same thing for a third time is plain stupid.

I'll wait until AFTER (or if) it goes to Tribunal.

I didn't see it happen at the game (as most of the punters there didn't see it).

          He'll be right.

He's protected and untouchable ... just ask anyone who follows another team.

I just had a bad feeling as soon as it happened and then it was replayed a couple of times afterwards, and comments made accordingly. I thought "he's gone!" but hopefully it might make him have a good hard think.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Goodesy doesn't have a "bad attitude" - you can't be a dual brownlow medialist and have a bad attitude, just ask Nick Davis.

Maybe he's trying to get rid of his "good guy" image? Pull in some chicks??

It's a joke that he has been suspended for that. He is one of the stars of the comp and one of his great skills is to charge in at speed and emerge from the congestion with the ball and stream forward. That he might have to stop attempting that is laughable.
PS. I understand but don't condone the off-the-ball hits he has put on in the past ... where he blindsided Godfrey and someone else. Taggers must send the good players loopy

. . . Oh, sorry. I was channelling a Collingwood supporter over on BigFooty. Then again, Goodes generally seems to be getting more support from fans of most teams over there than he is here.

Sorry to intervene. We're from Melbourne - first time to ANZ stadium. Just booked a ticket. From the airport - How long will it take in a cab to get to the 'Collingwood' game? Should we book a ticket for the game and if so - where should we elect to sit in general admission? Thanks for any help......

Goodes did the team thing and plead guilty. Does that mean his attitude is better than Davis' now?

Davis said he was a scapegoat - much the same really.
