I don't think all the blame can be pointed at Roos for Nicks demise, though.
Whilst I'm sure Roos has the final say on many issues, surely it would be a group coach/selection commitee decision as to who plays in which team, and as GS pointed out a 1000 Daivs threads ago, psych reports would come into play as well.
He'd act on recommendation from all the relevant parties.

I guess if I ever found out that this is not the case, and he did it out of spite, then I'd concede that he is a bum, but like 9/11 we'll never know the truth.

there are several things bug me about the davis situation

      1. hes been dropped a few times, if he is such a problem why do the club keep him on the list? whats the point, perhaps roos actually does like him and wants him there.

      2. how do some people on here know all this stuff about him and what other players got sick of doing at training because of him etc? i read and follow just about everything to do with the swans i dont recall half of this stuff being public, who knows what goes on?

      3. similar to the above why do some claim davis says this and says that and acts in such a way? i havent seen anything where he has moaned or not accepted being dropped this year. He said the brownlow comment in an interview once, so what?

      4. how can some players keep underperfoming and never be dropped and how can we always seem to have a couple of players who seem to be learning the basics on the go. People say he doesnt apply pressure or is lazy but has he ever actually underperformed on a consistent basis, players like jude can play months getting a few possies but because of their reputation as hard nuts they are exempt from being dropped.

i enjoyed the opening post read like a good footy article even better than carro

Everytime you type hours it comes out as years, I'm not sure if it's a problem with your RWO account or just with your computer itself.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

This is the best thread of the year so far - and who would have thought it would be a Davis thread...

Going by the number of Davis threads (or threads that at least detour towards davis at some stage), I would think the odd would be pretty good.
A search of "Davis" in thread titles pulls up at least 100!

I must disagree, I think I look upon it more fondly because it was Nick, I think the fact that it was him made the night even more unbelievable!

NOT another bloody Nick Davis thread!!!

Once again when it comes to Nick Davis ... much ado about nothing (although ROKL, your writing is somewhat poetic today!!).

How come you all don't get it?

If the coaching staff say he's not good enough at the moment; and the leadership group say he's not good enough at the moment - why can't you all just accept that the people who make these types of decisions say he's not good enough at the moment (for whatever reason(s)) and get on with it.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
