    Davis or Cousins?

Would we have a better chance of winning the 2009 Premiership with Nick Davis or Ben Cousins?
    Unfortunatly I think Cousins

Are you suggesting we use Davis as part of a trade? How would we trade for him? He seems to spend a lot of time in Sydney. Would we now accept him into our team?

Trade Davis back to Melbourne, Use the money we pay him to pay Cousins. Who we would pick up for free in the draft

But how would we (why would we?) get him for free in the draft?

Cousins belongs to nobody, the Wegulls delisted him. He would enter the draft as a non contracted player.

Isn't Davis still contracted to Sydney? Wont that come in to account?

we'd be better off with neither of them and either trading for someone that isnt washed up, on drugs or useless or even better getting another young bloke into the fray. That said, I still think Davis could do a job for us, but his time looks to have past. But I will never forget that magical last quarter ever

Davis has trade bait written all over him.

I actually hope we shop him around. Some club may even be stupid enough to give us a 2nd rounder for him. But I think a few clubs would be willing to give us a 3rd rounder.

But then surely we would need to trade for a high draft pic to be able to draft him.

It's about making the most of our window of opportunity. I reckon 2009 may be our last chance for a bit - but only a bit.

PS Does this count as a Davis thread?

                            WRONG.
