Channel 10 showed Hall taking a swing at Wakelin. I am starting to think there is something wrong with his Hall's head.

We look stagnant without Goodes. Collingwood look much cleaner and faster.

Due to AFL ruining broadcasting rights, this is the first game I have watched for ages and I am feeling rather deflated and let down.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

to be fair too roos, i dont see who he can move around to make much difference.

Being let down by some of the senior guys. He could fix his defensive match ups. they could play the ball faster and be more direct, and look to bring magic and okeefe into the game.

Everitts been worth a pinch of @@@@. Surely nick davis can provide an effort as good as most of these guys are tonight.

Need to get malceski mattner kennelly running through the middle and get hall deeper maybe, get some decenet ball in the forward line.

Mcveigh is someone who could get more involved.

Jack and moore might be due for a rest in the seconds, especially jack, seems to have lost the plot tonight.

Bevan is a let down given how much we have heard about him lately, doesnt even look up to standard in defence, but might be worth chucking forward.

This is pathetic....im embarassed in front of my friends at the moment.

what has happend? A week of to start reading their own press and thinking they dont have to remain intense to win.....

They actually look as though they are worried now and are panicing.

They still should win once they switch on. I just hope someone is giving them a rocket in the sheds!

reading this thread we need to be mindful not to take anything away from collingwood. They should be 50 in front they are showing way more effort and always have numbers round the ball. Hall busting through a pack about 4-5 magpies near him and not one swans to pass to, that summed up the half.

Look I love Roos'y and what he's done for us, but like last year, a huge game, big crowd, an even more important result for the finals and we are totally outplayed and outcoached. We are just not up for it. We have beaten 6 also rans on end (and so far) been smashed by a team who's form has been patchy at best.

It drives me bonkers when we are outzoned time and again on kickouts with no intelligent adjustement to our strategy. It characterised Eade's later years and I expect better from Roos.

I think our coaching panel needs to take a long hard look at itself.
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

Should try ROK up field. Perhaps move Kennelly into the midfield too. Play Hall from the goal square.

who would you put on dale thomas? theres seems to be a general lack of accountability in defence all round.

I would like to see a few changes, even something left field like magic to the middle, just something different.

                      agree regarding the coaching effort.

and lack of intelligence from the players to adjust to strategy. either they are completely clueless or the word from the coaches box is just rubbish.

How about roos goes and sits with the others and starts looking at what we are looking at.

My theory on our game plan remains the same. We only like to kick to a player who is free. We hate kicking to a contest. Because Collingwood are so effective at manning up and placing pressure on us we find it difficult to go forward like we normally do and hence we spend a lot of time going sideways.

it really is the demonstration that without goodes to get the ball we are an ordinary team in the midfield. Our team has always relied on kirk, goddes and bolton to get the ball and without goodes we struggle to get it.

the defence looks second rate, our forward structure slow, and our midfield ordinary.

when you actually disect who we have played this season and how poor the results are in relative terms you begin to get a sense of how artificial our ladder position is
