Your comments are nothing to do with the game at all.

i was making a few one line observations on the players, not writing for the herald sun. What do you want?

the team played crap, 18-19 of them were terrible thats about it. Ill be sure to read your in depth thoughts when you share them

I'm, signing off. Tonight raises more questions than it answers...

          - Was tonight an understandable or even necessary blip after 6 straight?
          - Can we win without Adam Goodes?
          - Will Paul Roos actually learn to show adaptability as a coach before Round 21 repeat against the Pies or can we just bookmark another loss?
          - Is Barry Hall the dumbest player to ever play Aussie Rules and do we play better without him anyway?
          - Will Leo and Spida see out the season?
          - Are our young guys starting to fatigue?
          - Is our position on the ladder a realistic reflection of our quality?
          - Should we be playing at ANZ (a) at all (b) when the surface is like it was tonight
          - Could Henry Playfair kick more than 40 metres if his life depended on it?
          - Can we bounce back against the Hawks?
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

            Simply poor tonight.
We were beaten exactly the same way again by Collingwood .

Really poor disposal from a very uncertain backline tonight right through to the midfield and then poor kicking at goal.
Collingwood mind you kicked even more poorly than what we did.

We just simply didnt have any winners at all
Kirky ,Jolly, J.Bolton were admirable and the rest were all average.

            Worries are :

Peter Everitt : Finished, if White Or Currie are good enough play them.
Spida cant run or bend or kick , only his tapwork remains
Jarred Moore : Fallen away very quickly. Maybe a spell
Barry Hall : Simply ordinary what he did again tonight and he had a shocker.
Nick Malceski : Just not the player he was. I know its only been a short time
though he is not giving us anything at all at the moment.
Think he needs a couple of weeks in the 2s to get the footy again before the and get him in some form before the finals.
Luke Ablett: Is a real worry , simply not involved enough in anything and is one that should be looked at going for a spell back in the 2nds

Season is on now, and we are still right in the mix as long as we can get on the horse again. The break has simply done us no favours again .
Overall though bitterly dissapointing night & the footy world will question our ability against quality opposition which at the moment is up for debate.
Worst thing is now hearing all the Collingwood ferals gloating again as well.

Kirk was the only player who could hold his head up.

Just got home from the game. What a shocker.

                      a couple of things

1.These guys are professional AFL players and they can't kick a goal if there life depended on it. Barry, Micky and Henry missed a few easy ones that would have taken some of the pressure off early. They get bad alot of money and it is not good enough. Reminded me of the 06 GF when all we needed was a goal to take some of the pressure off in the 1st QTR and we kept on missing

                      2. I thought the swans were very static tonight. Not much leading and running and passing the ball to alot of player in a static position

                      3. Leo leo leo. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. Has slowed and teams read him easily

                      4. Umps made some shocking decisions tonight, particularly in the first QTR.

                        - Was tonight an understandable or even necessary blip after 6 straight? Just a blip hopefully
                        - Can we win without Adam Goodes? Doesn't seem we can
                        - Will Paul Roos actually learn to show adaptability as a coach before Round 21 repeat against the Pies or can we just bookmark another loss? I hope so, first he needs to drop Bevan for Barlow.
                        - Is Barry Hall the dumbest player to ever play Aussie Rules and do we play better without him anyway? He's not the dumbest, Brendan Fevola takes that title, we do play better without him, but we need him though.
                        - Will Leo and Spida see out the season? Leo Barry will, at least he tries to create run from defence, I can't see Spida in the team by Round 22.
                        - Are our young guys starting to fatigue? Yes, I think other young kids should be played, like Barlow, Veszpremi and Meredith to give us some kick.
                        - Is our position on the ladder a realistic reflection of our quality? Its a realistic reflection, but we're not premiership material going by tonight.
                        - Should we be playing at ANZ (a) at all (b) when the surface is like it was tonight? We should never be able to play at ANZ again, the surface was @@@@!
                        - Could Henry Playfair kick more than 40 metres if his life depended on it? He can't sadly kick over long distances, but at least he provides a target up forward.
                        - Can we bounce back against the Hawks? Yes, we seem to have the wood over them, hopefully that comes true.

                        My answers are in bold.

                          3. Leo leo leo. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. Has slowed and teams read him easily
Well that and IMO Leo should never be allowed to give the guys a pep talk. His talk before the 3Q really went well...

Craig Bolton and Kirk were among our better players as was Bird. While Marty M tried hard, even though he was getting beaten at least he can hold his head up for at least trying. The rest of the action. Blah. As for the umpires.. well I think Roosy' reaction to the free against Leo which stopped the momentum in the final quarter summed up the night there.

And we definitely missed Goodes tonight.

ETA: Um sorry but I need to ask wtf was this reporter smoking (agree about Kirk but Leo?)...

Co-captain Brett Kirk (29 possessions) was a key contributor for the Swans in midfield in a typically determined display and Barry was also among the home side's better players.

Drop Bevan for Barlow? Bevan was one of our best in defence. He completely shut down Thomas after Daisy kicked away early on Mattner, or am I getting confused?

I feel very morose in saying that the things I saw tonight I half expected to see but but hoped I wouldn't see. Why can't we even muster a half hearted effort against the pies.

We have been trying hard to lose in our last two games...and finally we pulled it off.

I do think that LRT was great against the odds and much as I hate to say it I think that Tadhg is off with the pixies...forgottent how play on instinct.

As for BBB..he needs to have a think about whether he is playing for himself or the swans...love him dearly but tonight stretched the friendship.
                              oh well, maybe next time......

Yes. Thomas beat both Mattner and Bevan. C Bolton shut him down.
