I was hoping the same thing! Cant understand how we play like this EVERY time we play the Pies. WHAT IS IT ABOUT COLLINGWOOD YOU GUYS CANT FIGURE OUT???

When we tackled and attacked, while it was too little too late, it looked good!

This thread is amazing - 18 pages and every second line is drop Bevan what about that flaccid lump that wondered around aimlessly wearing the number 32!
Bevan and most of the others were ordinary, very, VERY ordinary but at least Bevan, Ablett, McVeigh, etc were having a go.
If Davis was dropped to the ressies for lack of effort and pressure than Buchanan doesn't even deserve a run there, he was a bloody disgrace.

Bevan showed he is absolutely out of his class at this level. Must go.

Was very disappointed with Roos' coaching tonight. Shows he is not the messiah at all and is inept at the game day side of the caper.

Fair dinkum, how does LRT still get a game.

Playfair does NOT offer more than Davis - Roos has to wake up and smell the coffee. We have a forward line that can't kick goals! MOL plays on at every opportunity because he can't take a set shot, Hall is plain useless.

As for BBB..he needs to have a think about whether he is playing for himself or the swans...love him dearly but tonight stretched the friendship.[/QUOTE]

Couldn't agree more, Hall played for himself tonight.

              Dear Diary,

Who cares if we lost four points ... play like crap and you're going to lose. There were too many stooges on the field to name a best one, but if I was going to Diary, I'd pick the Hippy Hippy Shake and Hank.

Diary, can you ask Connelly how many goals Bevan gave away?

Anyway Diary, far, far, FAR more important things happened off-field.

We got there nice and early, spotted Roosey & Horse sitting behind us watching the third quarter of the ressies (where the ressies sit during the real game). Strolled over to say g'day. Roosey & Horse signed my cap. I mentioned that if we lost the game I'd jump the fence and start bashing. They got a good laugh out of it.

Second quarter of the real game, I turn around, and who is sitting with the ressies ... OH MY GOD DIARY, it's Goodesy himself. I asked GS14 to come with me on a stalk and he wouldn't (he's a piker). Bugger, I'd save it for after half time.

Third quarter play starts and I'm standing behind the ressies with my pen & dual brownlow guernsey, waiting for Goodesy to come back. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Damn. 15 minutes in ... no Goodesy. Like any patient stalker, I went back to my seat. Not two minutes later, Goodesy goes back to the seat up the back (crappy seats BTW ... very obstructed). So I pop past the people again (sorry, excuse me, sorry, oops, sorry), head up the back and wait for the siren.

As soon as the siren went off, I jumped three rows of seats and got Goodesy from behind. Said g'day, slapped him on the shoulder for being suspended, then asked him to sign my cap. Yes, the poor bastard didn't know what hit him. Then I passed him the guernsey, telling him what it was and explaining that I'd had it in my bag for almost two years waiting for him to sign it. Bless him ... he laid it out on the seat in front of him and signed it good and proper. Well, while I'm onto a good thing, I got him to sign his "badge" (the one on my scarf) as well.

Then, now here's the best bit... I kissed Goodesy. Like, oh my god.

The blonde chick sitting next to him gave me hairy eyeball ... like I cared or something.

The guernsey's going straight to the pool room (via the framer).
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Buchy with 0 kicks and 12 handballs (at 66% efficiency) had a shocker and was a key reason we had no run or clearance.
The backline was static for almost every kickout!

No clearances for a major part of the game except for Kirk .. but no runners.

The Pies are a very good footy team and completely outclassed the Swans tonite, they were first to the ball at almost every contest, their support for each other, their tackling and arial skills made the Swans look almost motionless.
You can bag the Swans till the cows come home, Collingwood showed us how to play the game yet again.
We have no answers to this team, they dominate us and when a team does that the opposition looks spooked.
Kirk played his heart out as always. Well done Captain Kirk.

Kirk is a phenomenon. We would be stuffed without him.

I didn't realise Amon's game was so bad.

I reckon Blind Barry's done himself again.

Couldn't tell on the reply at the ground whether it actually "hit" or not - could find himself wiped for the rest of the season.
