The solution to Collingwood is the SCG?

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."Comment

Agreed. Which means there is another reason.
Not sure what it is but I'm pretty sure it's one of these two:
1. Collingwood have adopted a formula against Sydney that works, and would work at any ground.
2. We only play Collingwood at ANZ stadium after the split round break - perhaps it's the break that is consistently killing us?
My vote is number 2.Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sectorComment

And this is why football in Sydney will forever be a joke until the AFL decide to actually invest in the game up there in real terms and provide a real AFL stadium solely for AFL use and concerts in the off season!!!!!
sad face for the fact this site wasted my time by making me go back because I had too many angry faces in my post At least I made up for that wasted time by omitting punctuationComment

Unless I'm wrong, and I often am, as our home game we get the extra money, not Collingwood. So to blame Eddie for this would be wrong, it is our club who benefits and so you would have to convince them to forgoe money by not having the game at ANZ.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

Yes, they don't get the money but they still wouldn't agree with it because it would mean the Pies play in one less blockbuster in a season.
Collingwood have demonstrated that they are willing to forgo gate takings if it means they are playing on a bigger stage. They give Melbourne the takings for the annual Queens Birthday long weekend match even though it's their home game.
They raised concerns this year about the declining turn out, saying that whilst they're happy to give Melbourne the much-needed cash they won't do so if the Dees' poor performance kills the crowd numbers.
Seems they value money first, yes, but pride comes a close second.

Absolutely nothing to do with the stadium.
If we plug the 2 major weak links on the night:
1. Fwd line - Hall's stupidity (giving away free kicks and 'repelling' many advances forward); and
2. Backline - Bevan's inability to hold any opponent (had around 4-5 goals directly kicked on him or in play he stuffed up).
That adds up to greater than 29 points."As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.Comment
