I'll say it again, no one is saying that Maxfield should have played.

Hey, get those investigative journos down to Adelaide now! "McGlone and Willoughby finally open up: The Dark Side of the Swans" is a guaranteed Good Weekend cover story. Throw in a quote or two from Spriggs ("... they just told me to keep running, but never where to...") and Chambers ("... actually, my therapy has been so successful that I can't remember ever being at the Swans...") and we're talking Walkeleys.

I saw that McGlone is performing very well in the SANFL.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I'm not saying they would be guns at all, and I'm sure that every club has folks fall by the wayside. I just think it would be interesting.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Has to be about Chambers; then we could call it Chamber of Secrets.

The rest writes itself, or they could just come here to cut and paste the bitterness.

None of the players in the OP have been picked up by other clubs, so that tells me the swans made the right decisions.

But, isnt it weird that we now have 2 senior forwards ostracized (Hall and Davis). Hopefully MOL doesnt repeat his Adelaide escapades from years ago, or we wont have a forward line at all.

Performing exactly how you'd expect. Consistent, puts in hard, always makes a contest, but not a superstar and not someone opponents really fear as the game-breaker. Was relatively speaking more of a standout for the dire South Adelaide in 2006-7, but since moving to comp pacesetters Sturt this year isn't so individually notable. Neither in the SA squad that smashed the Vics earlier in the year nor mooted as one who was unlucky to miss the cut.

Josh Thewlis was the only one of the many ex-Swans in the SANFL to make the squad, but he missed the final side.

Other ex-Swans trivia: I think Gerard Bennett retired in the last week or two.

Well I guess we will be adding O'Keefe to the list?

I think it's a reasonable thing to ponder.

Considering that O'Keefe is leaving for either more money or to come home what relevance does it have to the leadership (which he is one of) pushing him to the outer as a player?
