Changes To the Team For Next Round Or Season

I Watched The Game Against the hawks and we were absolutely @@@@ in the first half it was frustrating to watch us miss Shots Like we did and among other things it may seem harsh for my outs but this is what i reckon we need to change to get these players to notice they have to fight for their spot because we have some kids that deserve a shot at the big time
    OUTS - Buchanan(susp)
    - Everitt,Too Slow Yes Some Good Tap Work But that isnt everything He couldent pick the ball up at times and it resulted in a goal
    - Smith,Did good from what i saw but had little affect 4 disposals and 1 goal think we have better players waiting for a game
    - Moore, am a massive fan of him but his been out of form for last few weeks think he needs a stint in the 2nds for a week
    - Jack, same as Moore Massive fan but needs a stint in 2nds
    - Kenelly, (injured Maybe)
    - Playfair- Haven't ever been a fan of his true he does some good things but just think his kicking lets him down

INS - Veszpremi- have heard nothing but good things about him i think he needs a shot at the big time to show what his got
Bruce- saw him play in Preseason Looked really good from what i saw think he can be something if given the shot
White- Could Play In forward line for Playfair from what i saw in preseason he did Good having 2 defenders on him at a time and beats them is a good effort and they wernt rookies he beat he beat good defenders
O?Dwyer- Fast could be somthing of a Davey type true his disposals are questionable but worth a shot
Brabazon- has been on the list for 2 years needs a shot to prove he can play in the big time
Currie - Awesome ruck man easily beating the rucks in the seconds could easly be the next best ruck man good replacement for Everitt
and Faulks for Kenelly if his injured

I dont think thrwoing in a bunch of rookies is going to solve our problems. If we were 5-10 or something and the season all but gone Id say go for it, but we are still in 4th and have a critical passage of footy coming up. The next few weeks will decide our fate more then likely imo. They are games we simply have to win, and while your intentions are all well and good making wholesale changes when you dont have the players ready that are to come in is not going to help. Out of all those listed, the only two Id condsider are White and possibly Currie (Everitt is really struggling around the ground).

If you want to make that many changes,Why dont you just give me a game?? Surely from your comment about Smith you can see how hard it is to throw a rookie into the deep end- let alone 5 or 6 at the same time. The players in the team now (Perhaps 1-2 changes probably forced by injury suspension) are the ones that have to turn our form around. Making wholesale changes will do nothing but probably lead to us missing the 8 altogether.

I would love to see MOD get a run against Carlton.I like what I have seen of this kid and he has something we are going to need this week...pace.
I think he has earned a run in the ones.

I agree, if there's a player who could take on the role that Amon had (that's if Roos only makes the Amon/Mal change) then MOD is my pick of finally getting a start. My worry is if he's not picked soon he may ask for a trade.

He is a rookie - you cannot trade them

Don't be surprised if the call goes to Benny while Monty is out.
            3 games needed for 200......

Quite possible now that Tim Schmidt is out for the season too. That makes 8 midfielders injured, 5 out for the season.

Unless Ves gets a call up, you'd have to say Mathews will play this week.

I fear that you'll end up being correct. Major step back for the club though as far as I'm concerned.

Bugger Schmidt being injured for the season. Ridiculous not bringing Hall. How is Brennan doing, surely he is better than LRT???

Whoops I thought he was finished his rookie contract at the end of the year. My mistake.

                            Doh to Schmidt being out!

We need some pace in the midfield, cant have Goodes running into contests (for obvious reasons), leave that to Jude and Captain, so I think giving MOD a run could be the go. With MOD and Jack running off the centre with Goodes and Moore as a HF makes sense to me.

Depending on how things go over the next FN it would be worth giving the Ves a run against Freo on the 9th.

The other thing worth thinking about....why isnt LRT being groomed as a Ruck. He looks about as manouvrable as the QE2 in the backline...but as a ruck he would be pretty mobile...and as a stand-in ruck he has done OK...has a big tank as well so floating forward or back wouldnt be a problem.

Also..throwing Teddy forward much like WCE do with Hunter in spurts wouldnt be a bad idea..that kid is second to ROK in a contested mark!
