I really like the look of Bird (as I've said a couple of times before). I'm expecting (and hoping) he will be a pretty decent player in the next few years.

I'd also add Richards to the list of best players. I thought he took some sensational marks, provided rebound from defense and held the backline pretty much together.
True. He always contributes well and makes an excellent 'help defender'.

Just good to get the win today , feels like ages since we won.

      Darren Jolly : Great
Jude Bolton : Well done Nuts .
Rhino : Best game in weeks, was a huge factor in the result.
Teddy Richards: Very solid and decision making was very good today.

Special mention to Moorey & Crackers who both had better games as well.
Matty ODwyer, showed glimpses though now he know what it takes at that level. Great to see a kid play instead of bringing in a Benny Matthews.

Also , plenty of Red & White today in the crowd great to see

You may be right, but today was his best game for a month IMO.

Benny was at the game today so he might have been very close to playing.

Their was heaps of RnW down the CS end,i will have to see it on tele to see how good it looked.

Nick Smith was in the coaches box with Hall, so Benny was a fair way down the list I'd imagine.

At the game the umpiring looked @@@@.

At half time i think it was 18-8 free kicks how lopsided is that.

I'm not to sure about that because Benny had the shorts on,socks on and trakie top as well.

The umpiring was appalling in the first half. Very inconsistent. As a friend SMSed, got out of jail playing against 25.
I thought best were as mentioned by others: Jolly, Kirk, ROK (except for that hideous clanger when he ran into an open goal and kicked a behind), Jude and the youngsters. I'm biased, but I particularly liked a couple of beautifully weighted kicks by Moore into the F50.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Have not long finished watching 7's coverage of the game(there was something else I wanted to watch on Fox). I have to say it amounted to nothing more than an extended highlights package . Now that I've got that off my chest, a great win today but still a very inconsis
tent performance. The Swannies will need to lift a couple more notches in the next few weeks if they hope to beat the Crows or the Doggies IMHO. Once again the umpires were up to their usual low standard.

I must say I thought Moore, McVeigh & J Bolton were outstanding & Jolly took two great (and important) marks in the last term.

There is no doubt that Benny is threatening to break back in. Maybe next week if there are injuries. He can still plug a hole or two and he deserves the 200.

That was a potential disaster as (IIRC) there was a major momentum switch straight after that.

He's very good at that - there was one especially nice example when he kicked it to MOL - perfect pass.

They said on MMM today that they were surprised how B2 gets away with holding and scragging his opponents. ..Yet normally they say he is one of the premier if not the best defender in the game.

If only ROK could kick goals as good as he can mark.
