Certainly not a first. Kirk frequently attracts a tag despite being ostensibly a tagger himself. So does Kane Cornes. Ling probably has in the past but at the moment Geelong have so many A-grade mids that he will rarely get that "honour".

Well i happen to know some people who do have it both ways. However, given that we can only speculate on whats in the minds of coaches the second comment may be closer to the truth after Roos comments in the paper this morning. Either way he took Scotland and Carozzo out of the game whilst being a particularly damaging forward.

The full smorgasboard was laid out on the buffett today. Slotted goals, tackled ferociously, ran up and down the guts all day and garrotted Carozzo. No longer a just a tradesman - an artisan.

His running was outstanding yesterday.

it kills me to say this - but credit where credit is due. Bevan played rather well - there its been said - still dont think he was best on ground like our mate with the wierd obsession with the boy would like to think, but rose coloured glasses do that to some. I think that Mcveigh was good, O'Keefe, Jolly and Moore terrific.

Agreed, Bevo had a very good game but Jolly, Pebbles, Captain, B2, McVeigh and even Jude were better IMO. Well maybe not jude

I don't think Bevan shut anyone down today

It looks like the Tankers will have an extraordinary midfield before too long.

He was the only player to present a target inside 50 in the early part of the game, much like Davis in round 1 (with equally poor conversion). Pretty useful game.

hard running
effective chasing
and
committment


very much unlike the former player you mentioned.

I didn't see the game, and those things are hard to pick up on a radio call. He still gets too many uncontested possessions for my liking, but that is as much role as style I think.
