Changes for Round 17 V Adelaide

Well the two obvious outs are Barry and O'Loughlin. No need for anyone to be dropped.

    IN: White, Brennan.
    OUT: O'Loughlin, Barry.

I think our side looks a little top heavy. Listed (although not starting) on the bench were Everitt, LRT and Grundy.

I'd like to see Smith back in for LRT, allowing Grundy and/or White to play a key forward role.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Assuming Eski is fit he will come back in but hopefully not for Matty O.

Perhaps for Leo Barry. The Cows don't have many key tall forwards apart from Tippet (Burton out injured).

Leaves Micky O's spot for Hall/White or Smith. Depends how Roosy wants to use Reg.

i would not bring white in, unless it is a direct swap for another tall. Malceski would be an obvious in if fit i imagine.

The crows do not have that many talls either, especially in attack, Tippet is the only one i can think off at the moment. They are not overly quick, id be looking to add pace to the side.

Most of the team played well i wouldent change them but for the injured MikyO n Leo

          Out Miky-O
          Leo

In White -- good pair of hands test him in the forward line
Malceski --- if his fit if not //CROUCH-- give him one last shot to prove his got what it takes to play AFL

With Barry out, I doubt LRT will be dropped this week.

Most likely see Malceski for Barry, with Bolton & LRT to provide tall cover, and Hall would be the not-so-obvious choice for MOL. Two teams with no forward line this week, it will be a rivetting game to watch.

Undoubtedly true re LRT, but I can't see who he will match up on in the next month against Adelaide, Bulldogs, Fremantle, or Geelong.

I'd be a bit concerned if we had too many talls in the side against the Crows.

                      Adelaide - no likely match-up

                      Bulldogs - Minson

Fremantle - They are resting their ruckman forward, will be needed

Geelong - Lonergan/ third tall forward

Richards or Grundy can cope with Minson.

Fremantle - They are resting their ruckman forward, will be needed
                        Richards possibly again.

Geelong - Lonergan/ third tall forward
Maybe the third tall or maybe use Grundy for that role.

Against Adelaide I would like to see a ruckman play at full forward. We scored 18 goals yesterday which is a top effort for us so to curb Ruttens influence I think we should put a big bloke up there even if it's just to nulify his influence.

rutten is slow and old, i dont think he is half the player he was before this season. Id put someone with pace on him and run him around

                              Ins and Out

Out: Barry, O'Dwyer, O'Loughlin, Grundy (so many chances so little return, he may make it as a third defensive tall one day but don't hold your breath, only stays if Barlow not fit)
In: Malceski, Brennan and Barlow(if fit), Crouch.

Roos will re-jig the forward line drop Spida and Jolly in and play Goodes down there more frequently given his injury.

So we really need a bit of run through the middle, which all four of the above give. I am inclined against any of the newer kids as it time to stop experimenting and start to build a settled side for the finals - where i think we need experience and cool heads. ( i know Brennan is low on games experience but he has been in the system for a long time now)
