Jude has not convinced me, ive been a fan of his for a long time , despite the fact his disposal is ordinary at best. But he has not performed well enough often enough this year. Yesterday should not stand out so much, but it does because those performances are rare from him. Someone like Kirk does it week in week out.

Bevan has been given more chances than anyone else, but looks good when up forward and im pleased to see some great output from him this year. I just find the constant rubbish we hear from one poster on here makes you resent him a little, but thats not his fault.

Im impressed with mcveigh he is becomming a real gun player, and i did doubt that would happen. Wish we had his brother as well

Theres a lota love for Macca and Bevo ATM,but Judes not there yet but if he plays like yesterday most of the time there will be.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

        That's pathetic.

So you resent Bevo because connolly takes the piss and over pumps his tyres.

When Barry finishes with the shrink, perhaps you should book yourself an appointment.

Doesn't stand out.... but happy to give him 3....

But the question remains, where have the other 13 been?

McVeigh has been fantastic. I really thought he wouldn't make it and, to be fair, he was pretty disappointing for a #5 pick. Still, they showed faith in him, and he's certainly a valuable player now.

I never turned on Bolton in the first place, so no apologies there. He plays an important role.

Either way, I would never apologise for my opinions.
Whatever I've said at the time was how I felt.
                Nothing wrong with that.
Bolton has had a few good games.
                Great.
                We need more than that.
Hopefully he can give us more
As suspected by many, the players and their connections are just as wild about Swans Footy as us/you Rabid RWOers, and some of them check for the Forum just like we do - especially after a win. Endorphins and seratonin for all and sundry.

For arguments sake, lets say that I had, in the past, been especially extra-critical, caustic and cutting with regard to Young Bevo's contributions to the cause. Bevan played a great game yesterday, and would have to be second to Triple M for Most Improved Clubman.

Paul Roos confirmed what everyone must have known. Yesterday's win was a very, very important one. Paul "WPIF" Bevan was a VIP yesterday. A very important player in a very important win, who, in addition, is also having a very much improved season. I'd be apologising to the kid because:

                • if Bevan had been dropped (off a cliff) when I was caustically and cuttingly calling for his complete cremation - theres not a cuckoo's chance he would have been a VIP for us yesterday
                • why not show some support and encouragement for him (and those connected to him)?
                • hell, even old B1, who could be third-Most Improved this year, was the Most Important Player in a very important game in the context of the season and perhaps beyond. I might owe him some endorphins and seratonin, too.
                • when the Large Professor comes back, it'll open up things for everyone
                • without question, players, and those connected to them should expect to hear it from me when that player is not playing well but maybe I could show more good humour and patience; and maybe I should show a modicum of concern for those concerned and cut down on the cutting comments.
                • why not show some support?

He has at least another year of "man-ifcation" to go.

He doesn't have to make 8 tackles, he just has to stick 3 in every 5.

Jude is an in and under toiler he reefs the ball forward out of the pack yeah ordinary disposal but he wins ball. In our last two defeats he at least had a crack and was one of the few getting stuck in alongside Kirk'y.

Bevo has had a raw deal on this site, he was not a no1 draft pick, he was a local draftee from the Croydon Park club a top kid and an honest, brave goer.

I remind the knockers that's what you get in this system you don't pick up a Goodes in the 40s very often and even less below.

Perhaps you don't remember Kelly's early years, not saying Bevo is Kelly, but his disposal was dreadful, just a tackling machine on legs.

I think Playfair is in a similar vein, we pick him up for a song he is our fourth forward and comments come after about three games that he'll never be any good! Well he is having a crack also and worthy of a bit of support here too!

All 3 have been important contributors for us this year - and to varying respects, all 3 were probably playing for their AFL careers this year, so it's just as well.

Bevan and McV in particular need to be pushing for our leadership group soon so let's hope we continue to see improvement.

All this is well and good...has anyone ever thought of the reason we very rarely get decimated.....??

                          Answer: Fitness

True that B1, Macca etc dont put outstanding performances together all the time, but those guys have been key to us winning come from behind and close ones ie Port at AAMI and WCE at Subi. The reason is that they are generally still breathing when their opponents are about to fall over stuffed! McVeigh is ridiculously fit and set AFL records for the beep test

The bloods culture is one that requires contributions from all at ambiguous times from ordinary to good talents and we get that more times than not.

Bevo will be a superstar of the comp, as I believe Jack will be in the same manner..tackle, run, disposal and goal.

We dont have many game dominating freaks, but we do have guys who are committed to playing for each other....

.....all that being said I still swore my bollocks off during the hawks game!!
