    Wade Chapman.

Always fun to see how long until he re-injured himself

I'll always adore Wade Chapman for that pinpoint pass to Plugger in the '96 Prelim. Bevan reminds me of him.

          Anyway, I'd go:

Kelly - Jogged off with a ACL as though he was taking the dog for a run. I remember watching through tears as he jogged off, devastated but full of admiration. He was never the same after that.

Kirk - Got absolutely @@@@faced by Pickett with one of the roughest bumps in a long time, and got up almost immediately. Will go down a Swans legend.

There's a few maybe's but these 2 stand above the rest.

I didn't see him play but Basher Williams must be up there in the HB Hall of Infamy. Jack Williams was charged with adopting a fighting attitude to a goal umpire in the 1945 bloodbath Grand Final. He was suspended for 12 matches. The great man also knocked Ken "Dirty"Hands unconscious and old solvol apparently spent a good part of the match propped up against the point post sleeping it off. Basher played Centre Half Back with "Gentlemen"Jim Cleary at Full Back. Sounds like they ran a good cop/bad cop operation. Anyone called Basher has got be respected.

Before I get accused of having a go at you,I just want to check that I read your posts correctly in the last few days?

Did you say that Hall is a thug, but "Basher" Williams has to be respected?

I was going to say him to.

I think it was him, that also entered the room where the tribunal was listening to the case of one of the Carlton players after the GF, and asked if the Carlton player would like to finish it off. The fight that is.

Bob Chitty. Who refused Basher's generous offer.

                        That's the one.

I wonder what would happen if that occurred these days??

Lawyers and psycholgists picnic. Hutchy would be on to it. BF meltdown. And Basher would still have decked the coward. Apparently it was Chitty who sparked the bloodbath by belting the 18 year old Bloods rover Billy Williams. Chitty was young Billy's foreman in the timber yard where they worked.

Whilst Houli appears a nice up and comer, he doesn't look like someone who will put the fear of God into opponents.

Jude bleeds in QF agst westcoast - the legend of the party hat is born
Kirk bleeds in the PF agst stk - the legend of the party hat grows
Jude bleeds in the GF agst WCE - dons the party hat which is now part of Bloods folklore
Ball bleeds in the GF too - only one party hat to go around but makes his own out of tape.
Swans place party hat in centre square along side the premiership cup. Tadhg dances a jig and the team sing the hokey pokey followed by Cheer Cheer.
