For most of the quarter both sides seemed to be playing rugby - everyone behind the ball.

Very ordinary first quarter - trailing 2.3.15 to 3.6.24.

Playfair gone for the game and possibly a few weeks.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I get the feeling that if Adelaide had their best 22 out we would still struggle against them.

I'd prefer to try to kick some goals on the run than to try to pinpoint passes and then to apply some pressure from their kick ins if a behind is scored.

                          Quarter Time

                          Adelaide 3.6 24
                          Sydney 2.3 15

An ordinary contest of footy, very lucky not to be trailling by more given the Crows' 3 quick goals. Kennelly, Kirk, Mattner and Richards had plenty of the ball but Playfair injured isn't going to help when we need to get the ball in the forward 50 and kick goals. Hall hasn't knocked anyone out yet, so that's a good sign.

I wonder if Goodes is still carrying an injury - hardly sighted so far.

Porplyzia also in trouble with his shoulder again.

Are we being to Hall centric with going forward?
