Changes for Round 18 V Western Bulldogs

This is what I hope happens.

    Out:
Hall- past it, our forward line looks much more dangerous without him.
Jack- Needs a rest, needs to work on his disposal under pressure.
Mathews- So far over the hill it's frightening. Should never of even been named as an emergency.
Playfair- Looks like he will miss a few with injury. He isn't adding much anyway.

    In:
Barlow- I think we need to try him as a forward. Only if Micky O isn't fit though.
Brabazon- It's time. We need to give this kid a run. Has been named in the best in the ressies in most of the games this year.
    Smith- Should of played tonight.
Malceski- Adds class and skill. Something we are desperately lacking.

Aren't half of those in's injured??

LRT wasn't too bad today, certainly made some good spoils, defensive efforts. Few errors once he got the ball, but defensively good.

Our problem is that we are running out of fit players!

LRT is another of those NSW boys who didnt grow up with Aussie Rules. You cant keep carrying them you can tell in their thinking thsy dont know what to do with the ball when they get it. How do you all expect BH to get the ball the way the players down feild kick it to him . We would be better off playing BH at CHF and letting him rum around and not be the focal point. Agree that Bird and Jack need a rest and thank goodness Playfair will be missing because
Roosey wll not drop him. Ou forward coach should be changed Blakey was back man or onballer late in his career. Swap Longmuir and him. I hope the Swans stop newspapers writing about playersa Bevo and McVeigh were not up to it tonight. I guess they cant make wholesale changes with so many injured. Everiit has to go bring in Currie and let him learn.

Barry may be right to come back next week.
              Hopefully so will Malceski.
              Not sure about Barlow.

              LRT is giving us little.
              Jack's looking tired and struggling.
              Goodes is obviously injured.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I wonder if Roosy will have the bollocks to drop Hall.

Malceski has been named the last 3 weeks, only to be a late withdrawal.

                      OUT-
                      Mathews - Just horrible
Everitt - Cant seem to operate at ground level & doesn't seem to be a dominant player anymore
Goodes - Only if injured, which he must be i think
Playfair - Seems like that injury will be a few weeks at least

                      IN-
Brabazon - got to give more than Mathews
Currie - Should be able to pick up the ball from the ground
Barlow - To replace goodes if needed
Malceski - Would enable us to move Grundy up forward

Hall will be better for the run. He'll stay.

Playfair has to be replaced (injury), and Matthews has to be replaced (incompetence).
I guess ideally you'd get back Malceski and Leo Barry, but neither are certain.

Everitt will stay. Not doing a lot, but doing his role enough to stay in.

Anyone calling for LRT to be dropped needs to see Barry Hall's physcologist.

Don't often agree with Barry's comments but I'm bewildered about those calling for LRT's head. He was about as competent tonight as everyone else other than O'Keefe and McVeigh.

State of injuries is becoming a real factor. Barlow hasn't played for a few weeks and even when he was in the senior team he was giving us nothing, so he's not a realistic option to come in. And the others who are probably ready for senior football are mostly injured. Maybe White will get another run next week as a replacement for Playfair but since we play the Dogs, we maybe don't need the additional height.

I reckon Mathews played because Roos was nervous about having too many young'uns in the team. But he'll have to bring another in next week (for Playfair) unless Malceski comes up. After Smith and White, the only other one whose fit and might be worth a shot is young Bruce, who was excellent two weeks ago and was named BOG last weekend too. He's got a solid build and runs and runs and runs ala O'Keefe.

The best that LRT is showing is to be barely competent, and he doesn't manage that every week.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
