Congrats to Ryan and and Patty!

Leo out altogether - Brennan takes his place while White goes to emergency. I'm not sure why Mal would be an emergency?
That's not exactly a world beating side on paper. Nevertheless, would rather go down with something gained through blooding new players.

I really hope Vesz in particular has a cracking game.

Great to see the two youngsters get a go. Really looking forward to seeing Ves get a game.

And I do hope that Im proved wrong about Crouch, but surely those criticising the opinions of those that have a negative view of the selection of Crouch (Myself included) can see why we might possibly have a negative view. I damn well hope he proves me and all the other doubters wrong, I really do but imo its just a step backwards. Lets see what happens on Sunday, it shall be interesting.

Its a very quick side. If Big Beamish has his game day face on we could put the Dogs down

            Pumped about Ves & Brabazon.
Watch Ves , he is a battering ram. Take no prisoners.

Cant believe Spida and Crouch got a gig though.

After being so predictable in 2004-7 you could basically pick the team on Tuesday, the Swans in 2008 have come up with some pretty surprising selection decisions.

Here, there are 3 in one week. Dumping Mathews, playing Crouch and playing both Vespa and Brabazon (I thought it was one at most who'd get a gig) all count as surprises.

It's great to see Brabazon and Veszpremi make their debut, along with the return of Brennan and Crouch at the expense of Mathews.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

The Prezzz!!!!!! I still think he is a bit under done but i'm just pumped i'll get to see him in the seniors.

Great work from Braba too. Hope he really steps up.

Leo and Malceski (possibly) not coming up forced their hand I think Simon.

                    I'm happy about it.

Swans debut - would have been Round 1 this year:
                        Craig Bird
                        Martin Mattner

AFL debut - I can only think of Round 1 2004:
                        Paul Bevan
                        Jarrad McVeigh

Edit: did some digging. Round 7 2005:
                        Luke Vogels
                        Jarrad Moore

Geez, I thought I needed new glasses when I read this thread!! TWO first-gamers?! Us?

Congrats to Brabazon and Vez on making their respective debuts!

Yeah, we could take the Dogs, especially as their form over the past couple of weeks hasn't been so great, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, k?

                            That;s all I can say.

I'm goint to buy a lottery ticket. 2 to debut in same game.

The other thought is, how bad are our injuries? Has to be more to the story.

Well in the article with ROK the other day they said Mickey, Goodes and Playfair will all be out for around the same amount of time (a month).
