Great to see the two youngsters get a go. Really looking forward to seeing Ves get a game.
And I do hope that Im proved wrong about Crouch, but surely those criticising the opinions of those that have a negative view of the selection of Crouch (Myself included) can see why we might possibly have a negative view. I damn well hope he proves me and all the other doubters wrong, I really do but imo its just a step backwards. Lets see what happens on Sunday, it shall be interesting."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Its a very quick side. If Big Beamish has his game day face on we could put the Dogs downBevo bandwagon driverComment

After being so predictable in 2004-7 you could basically pick the team on Tuesday, the Swans in 2008 have come up with some pretty surprising selection decisions.
Here, there are 3 in one week. Dumping Mathews, playing Crouch and playing both Vespa and Brabazon (I thought it was one at most who'd get a gig) all count as surprises.Comment

Leo and Malceski (possibly) not coming up forced their hand I think Simon. After being so predictable in 2004-7 you could basically pick the team on Tuesday, the Swans in 2008 have come up with some pretty surprising selection decisions.

Swans debut - would have been Round 1 this year:
Craig Bird
Martin Mattner
AFL debut - I can only think of Round 1 2004:
Paul Bevan
Jarrad McVeigh
Edit: did some digging. Round 7 2005:
Luke Vogels
Jarrad MooreComment

Geez, I thought I needed new glasses when I read this thread!! TWO first-gamers?! Us?
Congrats to Brabazon and Vez on making their respective debuts!
Yeah, we could take the Dogs, especially as their form over the past couple of weeks hasn't been so great, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, k?
