Reading the feedback from the trivia night (sounds like great fun), it seems Crouch has indeed been plucked from semi-retirement to play on his old adversary. If true, I think it is quite an odd and sentimental thing to do.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I hope that's not the case. I question whether Crouch is fit enough especially after Roos' comments last week of needing to play a fit side. IMO Crouch's selection to play on Aker would be for sentimental reasons only. Aker would give him a bath.

Bevan or Jack should play on Aker.

EDIT: Looks like it will be Crouch

Swans coach Paul Roos last night confirmed Crouch will play his first senior game of the year after working his way back into form through the seconds.

Crouch in? I fair dinkum can't believe it.

I thought his performance in last year's EF was enough to suggest that we'd seen the last of him.

He is deadset finished and Aker will give him an absolute towelling.

We're clearly in need of some spark in the side - a couple of enthusiastic kids, like Moore, Jack and Bird gave us earlier in the season. Now we've lost O'Loughlin and Goodes, they bring back another defensive player coming off a limited preperation.

            Amazing.

I can't help wondering if this is Roos idea of mind games (against Aker).

If so, it is certainly playing with the minds of some on here.

If it is then it doesn't seem to be working!

"What can I say, it's about time," Akermanis said.

I'm actually pretty keen to see the contest between Crouch & Aker. Might be the only one we win.

It will make the inevitable beating somewhat less painful.

You seem to making a lot of negative comments about this site and other posters lately. Why?

At such a critical time of the year we should not be playing anything but the best 22 we can put on the park. And imo neither Matthews nor Crouch are anywhere near that, even with the current injury toll.

LA, all I was doing was reflecting on this thread. The "multi - quote" button wouldn't allow me to put all of the negative comments in the one post about Crouch playing.

BTW, with all of the comments quoted, it wouldn't even let me quote your question about negativity as well as about twice as many comments as I have quoted in this post. You would also have noticed, that I haven't been of the mindset that due to poor current form, we are only making up the numbers in the finals race.

I'm predicting a vintage Crouch/Aker Pest Fest on Sunday.
I think it's going to be an awesome matchup.
                              Crouch to emerge victorious.

He plays for the club I support so I really hope he proves me wrong. Unfortunately, I don't think he will.
