Really looks like the competition is divided into four parts.
There are the dominant teams - Geel, Haw and 'Dogs. The only ones with any real chance of winning the flag and perhaps even making the GF.
Then there are the middle of the road teams - Sydney, StKilda, Adelaide, Collingwood, North.
Then there are the ones just below that and trying to push further up - Brisbane, Essendon, Carlton, Richmond.
All of the middle of the road teams are trying not to swap places with the next group below them and we might see that happen within a year or two.
And then there are the also-rans - Port, Freo, WC, Melbourne.
