He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Geez, can we at least enjoy the win first.
Think a lot of people forget how different our side is to previous seasons and the extent injuries have had on our front line.

anyone who says lrt did anything other than a terrible job on pavlich is blind or his mother. thats not to say it was an easy job or that anyone else in the side would not have been beaten but merely that he was destroyed every time there was a 1 on 1 and even sometimes went it wasn'tComment

Another get out of jail win for the Swans and another choke by Pavlich.
A great game, a real nail biter and you have to give credit to Freo who looked like winning from the beginning. Goodesy was sensational in the forward line with 8 goals, Hall has found form with 4 goals and good to see B1 and Vespa have their kicking boots on with 2 goals each.
At times the backline looked ordinary but the trademark run from the backline was there and Bevo's match saving mark was up there with Barry's to clinch the 2005 premiership. The midfield was beaten at times but stood up when it was needed.
B1 had a great game with 30 disposals and 2 goals, Goodes was outstanding with 8 goals and could be a permanent forward for the rest of the year. Kennelly, Mattner and Bevo were great in the backline with 27, 23 and 20 disposals respectively. Kirk was good in the midfield, B2 did a pretty good job on McPharlin, Vespa and Bird are showing their skills well for first-year players. Jolly and Everitt on the other hand were well beaten by the 7-footer Sandilands and will have a challenge when they take on Ottens and Blake next week.
We got out of jail against a 13th placed side that has lost their fair share of games by under a goal but we have to lift our game if the Swans are a chance against the reigning premiers Geelong. It could very interesting if Goodes plays CHF next week and might test the likes of Scarlett, Harley or Taylor. An ugly, shut down game of footy might be needed to control their awesome run from the midfield or we'll have to fight fire with fire.
Let's not get flogged like the Dees...

Pavlich - 27 disposals (22 kicks, 5 handballs), 9 marks, 2 tackles, 1 goal, 1 behind
LRT - 15 disposals (6 kicks, 9 handballs), 5 marks, 7 tackles
Pav played mostly in the midfield and had the wood over LRT but he didn't kick it when he needed to, LRT marked it when he needed to, Swans win in a nail-biter.
