    BOG last night.

Tough for me to say that when Goodes kicks 8 goals.

Bevan was fantastic too. Sparked us in the 3rd.
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

I'm sick of hearing about LRT's 'efforts'.

        Why angry Mase?

It was ABSOLUTELY the right play, he just executed it poorly either thru poor skill or an unlucky bounce just as he went to kick it, but it was certainly the correct option with an empty paddock in front of the members and a Docker on his hammer who would have grabbed him the second he bent over to pick it up.

whilst goodes' 8 goals were brilliant , the game that bolton produced won us that match. T
The shepherd on the freo defender in the goalsqaure when veszpremi goaled, the tackling ( especially one late in the match in front of the ladies stand which won us the ball and led to a goal).

Seriously if what LRT brings to us is a a good trier well I could bring that and we could use the salary cap benefits on some other talent.

And I can guarantee you that his inability to kick that ball off the ground is indicative of his general lack of talent.

Think about his last six weeks. He has played on some stars (Pavlich, Franklin) some noddies (Minson, John Anthony) and some in betweens (Bock, Waite)

he has beaten none of them. And has looked completely mismatched in most of them. It is true that this is partly due to the midfield getting well beaten in some of those games but he is a one dimensional big defender who can't play on the skilled big forwards, cant play on the small forwards (was he on medhurst for a while ?)

I'm all for giving players an extended run but when saddington showed he simply couldn't play on brown etc he was rightly moved on. I just don't understand why there is so much preparedness to stick with lrt. If i was playing with him and saw him get beaten this regularly i would want to know whats going on.

Anyway with respect to the thread - b1 has been one of the few players who has regularly been able to get the ball. Often his kicking has been poor and meant that all he added was an ability to get it going forwards. Last night was different he kicked to advantage and looked like an early first round pick. and good luck to him.

I thought he had time to collect it.

My thoughts were two things would happen:
                  a) Clean pickup and disposal up the wing
                  b) Docker tackles him and he gets a free kick for in the back (most likely)

I just thought he had time to pick up and get a disposal away. Kicking in mid-air is low percentage and could well have cost us a goal.

Perhaps I was a little harsh ... perhaps.

I reckon 19 or 20 players in the team would have had time to pick it up and kick it down the line. Unfortunately he's not one of them so I reckon his decision was reasonable even though the execution was not.

Bolton's playing like a champ, so it's great to see all the naysayers proven wrong consistently. He, Bevan and Kirk are the basis of our heart and soul most of the time, always putting their bodies on the line in selfless acts.

Very glad he's a Swan, he deserves to be one for his career.

Just about BOG Vs Carlton. Great game against Bulldogs. Outstanding last night.

Keep going Jude. Even if it just to make Nico look a goose....
Call me a goose RP, but I was only calling it how it was when he played poorly for 2 seasons, and then admitted he hadn't prepared well enough last year.

Credit it to him for coming back to form and if you care to read my post I gave perfectly rational and observant reasons why I think that is the case. As ROK says though he must continue to produce the goods at the pointy end of the season against the cream of the comp when he is likely to be tagged.

Also Nico i wonder if Judes metamorphis into a running offensive midfielder has something to do with the great work of young Bird in digging the pill out of the packs. Jude doesn't seem to spend as much time with his mug in the mud at the bottom of the packs like he was earlier this year. He's off the leash because Bird is doing a lot of the heavy lifting inside the pack.

Connolly made a post with absolutely no reference to Bevan. No mention of quarter backing, no gratuitous use of the word "Bevanator" or repeated use of the word courageous.

And McVeigh has emerged as a midfielder worthy of tagging.

As I said Jude is holding his feet now like the best midfielders do. Maybe he has watched a few tapes on how he can improve his game.
