It's pretty much FF or nowhere for Goodesy this year..he can only run in straight lines, and obviously has osteitis pubis..knife in October, but till then..FF!

goodes move to the forward line was a masterstroke, I would like to see him play at full forward for the rest of the season and it takes the pressure off Barry Hall and with O Loughlin to come back soon and with O'Keefe, Moore, zespremi and co it is a good opportunity to give the forward line more firepower.

lets all see how he goes against the best in the comp this weekend before we all blow our loads prematurely. Not downplaying the great performance, but it was against Freo ffs.

            Nay I say,
            I say nay.

Only if we move Judd to the midfield. And Didak to a pocket.

            Edit; And Fev to FF.

Freo are playing good football (top 4 IMO) at present. They have lost something like 7 or 8 under 10pts - mainly due to the Pav choking when it counts. Win half of those and they are knocking on the door of the top eight. Win the majority and they are in the top 4.

I think you will also find Freo won the centre clearances and inside 50's. If you look at those stats, Goodesy's performance wasn't so bad - never mind who was his direct opponent throughout the game.

In the past, Bazza has been double and triple teamed against superior teams like Geeeeelong. Now that the Goodes is a KPP in the forward line, they may have to concentrate on Bazza less so. If Bazza kicks a bag (ie. 5-8) and Goodesy only kicks 2 or 3, I believe he has done his job.

id just like to see goodes go forward move often rather than keep him there. I would keep changing his position keep the opposition guessing. I would like to see him take some stints in the ruck again too.

Goodesy stays put at FF ... at least until Micky gets back.

                    Goodes in forward line
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Spot on Goodes is too Goodes to keep in one position only he's definitely a multi position player, just ask Annie.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

But given he has a groin injury that requires surgery, what option do we have? We need to nurse him through the season in whatever way we can.

At present given his groin strain he would be a mere shadow of his normal self. Roos putting him to FF not only kept him in the game, but took some of the pressure off BBB.
