    LRT is underrated.

This year he played games 1 to 5 in the ruck; 6 at the back, with White getting 1 game before Everitt returned. Then, after starting to find his feet (yes he is a bit unco-ordinated and lacks the quick intuitive responses of a Southern State trained AFL player), it was back to the ruck for rounds 12 and 13.

Then, with Hall not playing he was selected mostly to play forward as the target; particularly after Playfair was out - though he didn't spend much time where selected, as I observed.

Now, as said in the Article, with Rucks covered by Everitt playing, and forward covered with Hall and Goodes (and Mickey O to come back), the tall man can hopefully settle and get back to the reading of play, and acting the role he was trained to do.

I am not a Connellyesque fan, but he has pinch hit this year for the Team, and done versatile Tall roles where asked.

    Strength to his arm.

Really surprised with people opinions on LRT on here.

General work talk and especially with family and mates whom I go to the footy with and Swans people who Ive had conversations with all admire LRT.

He is in my side any day of the week.

I get the opposite reaction. None of my mates who support other clubs rate him as a player. Nor do my Swans supporting mates for that matter.

The backline looks reasonable without him.

                Mattner C Bolton Crouch
                Kennelly Richards Malceski

And with Barry to come back.

Hopefully Murphy will be the man. Big AND attacking.

I have never met anyone who says other more favourable than he is tall and we lack tall defenders. But just by the way who was the last tall forward that he beat ?

Did a decent job on Richo once or twice.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I think you'll find Dimelb is perfectly correct in that Lewis has played on Richo a few times (and done pretty well). Bear in mind he was injured almost all last season and probably still playing in the ruck when we played the Tiggers this year, but if you go back to 2005-6 you'll find LRT was Richo's main opponent.

He's also played a few times on Jon Brown and has never disgraced himself in that match-up either.

actually i stand corrected on that in relation to 2006 - although I'm fairly certain in 2005 and previously its always been bolton after leo got well beaten in one game down here.

I'm not convinced however that i have seen him beat richo - in 2006 richmond were a rabble and we beat them by a squillion. I guess you could call that a win but on the day richmond barely got the ball over half way and richo still kicked a couple

i don't believe there has been another occasion where he has beaten richo.

hey I started at Wing defence - then because of my height I went to Goal Shooter (much more responsibility being a shooter!!!) but its true Wing Defence is a good position to be in - you cant get into trouble.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
