We looked equally outclassed against Hawthorn, so that game doesn't necessarily mean Geelong is unbeatable.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I also agree that picking players because they give their best is a joke. But part of our problem comes back to having a whole generation of players who were not injured for 2-3 seasons and so no new players have come through. And those that have (for example tim schmidt) have got injured. So who do we put in.
I am LRT's greatest critic because i don't believe he can match up on anyone other than the slowest and least skilled big man. Having said that I thought he went OK tonight - accepting that he didn't beat his man but he was OK on the ground.
But I would delist him. He will be a liability for as long as he plays in the 1sComment

Totally disagree. His last 2 games have been very good, not bad for a bloke whose shoulder likes to pop out. I don't think I can recall a mistake tonight.Comment

I think that Kennelly should bow out now. He is terribly slow and is defending very poorly. He barely wins a one on one at the moment. His dash is gone. He could get it back if he really, really wanted to, but does he? If not, he should retire as he is a shadow of his former great shape.
I have said this for months....he does not really want to be here. Always going on about returning to his real passion back in Ireland....Comment

Well we'll be ringing in the changes next week. Nothing to do with who played bad, etc, more to do with Crouchy and Moore not looking like they'll be playing next week.
Also just wanted to point out that Monty's first game back was good. I know he's got his critics out there but he played pretty damn well. And Fossie made some mistakes, not alone there, but it was good to see his speed back in the team.
Overall, we had far too many turnovers, which cost us the match, the Cats were definitely a class above us as usual. I will say though the umpires sure as hell didn't help our cause.Comment

I've got a joke. Why did LRT cross the road? Because he was chasing after number 21. And another. Whats the difference between LRT and number 13? About 10 yards.
My view of the game was really good tonight - up high. LRT was just so ordinary, he fisted the ball away twice when he should have just grabbed it, and on both occassions the ball ended up with Geelong...
Agghhh... and he was beaten on the lead all the time...
If i can say two other things, I think our handball dispossals were too inaccurate, and far too slow. We needed to get rid of the ball much quicker. Its time to get rid of some dead wood - LRT, Spida (though I do love him). I recall being pissed with Bevan early on, but then he went off my radar, so I dunno what sort of game he had in the end...
Oh well. The cats kicked well at goal. GA is like mercury.Diabolical, triabolical, quadrabolical...Comment

I'll switch my wrath to LRT....but...who do we replace any of these guys with?
I just cannot see much depth at the Swans. We have already done the "blooding" and in several cases this has worked this year, but, anyway, injuries to young and old have really derailed what was a great first half of the season.Comment

He doesn't have the closing speed of the best defenders in the competition (see Corey's efforts on ROK tonight) and is continually beaten on the lead.
I think he's at the crossroads and will never become a reliable key defender although I've given up on him being dropped or delisted."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

fwiw i also think keneally is substantially down on his 05-06 form. He has often handballed to stationary players but his handball is now slow and loopy rather than zippy. I think his turning circle has become very big and he lacks speed to get away from smart forwards.
but i wouldn't drop him. he still offers somethingComment
