Disagree. I don't think Mal's problem is injury, not really. Sure, his calf has been giving him some trouble, but even when he has been fit, he hasn't been in great form. Barely in our best 22, if at all. And if you ask me, the reason for that is he lacks confidence in his knee, as anybody would after a knee reco. Most players, particularly when they're young, come back from knee recos very out of form. We'd love Mal to have pulled a Bradshaw, but that just isn't realistic. If he'd had the normal surgery, he wouldn't be playing like this until next year. As it is, he's been playing with low confidence 9 months earlier, meaning in all liklihood his confidence will be restored 9 months earlier as well. Yes, that's simplistic, and those time frames obviously aren't going to anywhere near exact (the off season months are going to be different to the home and away season), but the fact is that the shorter recovery time has put him waaaaay ahead of schedule.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Dont really know how Grundy is staying in, hasnt done anything nor looked comfortable. Why not take a punt on White and actually leave him on the ground at FF?

The non selection of Fosdike is a strange one - he will only be fit for the finals playing at the top level, he wont improve much running around 3/4 pace in the 2's ..what the.

Malceski - maybe a lack of confidence?

Good to see Jack and Ves back

      Cheers

Really disappointed to see Fossie out. As for Grundy hasn't he been named a fwd every week? I expect he'll play back as per usual.

They tried that against the Bulldogs and he was very poor. Besides, I have no doubt we'll go again with the Goodes-Hall double act up forward so we don't need White up there getting in the way.

Fossie's omission is strange but he could yet play. I would have thought our undoing against Collingwood recently has been the lack of run so to omit one of our best runners makes little sense, other than the usual games that go on at the Swans selection table on Thursday nights.

And after being named for 5 weeks in a row and withdrawing each time you'd have to rate Leo doubtful until he actually runs out. If he misses again through this "one week" hamstring injury I reckon his future beyond this year is very iffy, despite what he said to the papers mid-week.

There is absolutely no doubt Fossie will play for either Moore or Barry.

Most likely be a late replacement for Leo Barry.

The worrying thing is that he is now so slow. Byrnes embarassed him last week.
