An era is generally considered to be a long period of time. We have an era with two periods Eade and Roos. By the way its not over.

Roosy on Saturday night showed me in reality now that he generally knows he has got the best out of himself and the list in general.
Loved what he has given and for what he has bought to the club as well.
Finished a stellar career with us in great form and then become a very good
peoples person which has won players and supporters hearts over his coaching years. Though after watching him on Saturday night and reading between the lines now , I think he might pull the pin at years end.
I rekon he know he has had enough .

How the bloody hell can someone say it was not an era.

I have been following the Swans for my entire 35 years and beleive you me, this has been a fantastic era for the club.

Go and ask a Richmond, Fremantle, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, hell even a Collingwood supporter and they will tell you we have had a fantastic 12 or so years.

This compertition is not the EPL, you don't just go out buy sustained success with a cheque book the size of an elephant.

You have to work hard, take nothing for granted and fight for every victory home, away and finals and the club has done that for the last 12 or so years.

Too many people on here seem to think a final is ho hum we won't do anything come finals time so why bother, hell no, that should not be how it is.

Every final is to be cherished and I expect the club to give it's all to win it and the next one, and the next one no matter what as it maybe our last for many years.

For many years I craved to barrack for a club that had respect, we have it as a club now and we better fight damn hard to maintain it going forward.

Still not convinced it's an era?

1 - Carlton, Geelong, Melbourne, St Kilda
0 - Brisbane Bears, Fitzroy, Fremantle, Hawthorn, Richmond, Western Bulldogs

It's not over until we miss the finals two years in a row.

Sure looks like an era to me.

Especially when compared to the 50 seasons prior to that:
                    50 seasons (1946-1995), 4 finals appearances, 6 finals for 6 losses, 7 wooden spoons.
This looks good to me, looks like an era, especially after 92- 93 and especially after all the experts (ahem) picked us for the spoon and ESPECIALLY after AD's comments in 05. Eat @@@@

That's an even better era than I thought! Most Finals appearances over the last 11 years. Second most Grand Final Appearances. Third most Premierships. Yet some fans [term used loosely, obviously] can't see the achievement.

Ahem. It's 13 years, not 11. The Swans missed the finals in 2000 and 2002, due mainly to a number of narrow losses in both seasons.

Another bit of trivia - the Swans are the only side to have ended the season with a percentage over 100 in all 13 seasons. The last time the Swans ended the season with a percentage under 100 was in 1994, when the Swans last won the wooden spoon.
