Ablett should not be in the team, its all over Luke you have been rubbish all year, thankyou for your years of service and the premeirship that you contributed to but you are our worst midfielder that is playing regularly and if you are taking vezzy's spot that is a discrace because he is the future.
He almost lost us the premiership as well...

I' as bewildered as the next person. Reverting to experience was apparently the strategy against the Cats. Roos acknowledged it was a gamble that didn't pay off. Didn't he say something like "If we're not a challenger we can at least give some finals experience to our young'uns?"

Only possible rational explanation is that Vez' groin is sore and they are not sure if he can play the next two games in a row, so want to rest him to make sure he is available for the final game we are guaranteed to play.

          Yeh, let's hope.
I believe he was named there last week, but didn't play there.

Sad, sad news about Vespa. I only hope it is due to a niggle, or fitness.
He was the only player who looked like they wanted to win last week.
          Let's hope he's a late Replacement.

            1.2, 8 disposals in a 45 point loss?

It always comes back to Dicky!!
              TOG??
Vespa was hardly on the ground. OK maybe 66%
When he was he made things happen.

Dicky Was probably on the ground for longer (73%), and has much more experience.

              Vespa => Excitement factor!

Ahhh, so that's about 8 minutes extra or so?

I'm not talking age, experience, what they can offer for the future- just interested that on face value, and what they offered in respective games, some people see Patty as offering more and not deserving to be dropped whilst Nicky apparently did.

I was at both games and Vespa, given his youthful enthusiasm, made the forward line come to life on Saturday.
I think you'll find it has a lot to do with attitude and personality.
You'll find one has, and one hasn't the above.

Its team selections like these that make me reconsider renewing my membership next year. I'm more than willing to pay a full membership and see us sit 3rd bottom if we are building and blooding youth. But to cut Vez after his performance last week is just crap.

                        You're dreaming.

The reality is Veszpremi is part of the future of the club, I don't think Davis is.
(Mind you, I'm not on the Anti Davis bandwagon, I'm just hearing not so good things)

I won't argue that at this stage of their careers Patty should have more football in front of him that Nicky, I'm talking about what they offer in games right now.

I know you're not, I'm just being an arse

                            As always.
It wasn't put there for your sake, others like to jump to wrong conclusions.

If you're talking right now. Then Davis offers nothing.
Uninjured and firing, Davis would be in the 22.
However, he has not been in the 1's for most of the season. Players of his quality, aren't dropped for no reason. There has to be some consideration given to the fact that, as outsiders, we know jack @@@@ about the goings on in the club. I'd love as much as many other people to see Davis in the 1's, but the fact he was not able to get back to the standard required. Whatever that maybe.
Veszpremi got some games, which indicates he has met the criteria the club has set for the players.
Both playing at their best. I reckon Davis would get the nod above Veszpremi.
However, we have to look at the reality.

That said, I'm extremely dissapointed that Vezpremi was dropped.

That's assuming he was dropped, he's listed as an emergency so I guess he is injured? It will be interesting to see who lines up for the magoos.

                                Que?

If he was injured, surely he wouldn't be listed.

True with the magoos, as they play earlier that afternoon.
