Kerr Not the Answer

Daniel Kerr would just be another quick fix. We need to have a couple of years outside the 8 & pick up some decent draft picks. I agree with the article in the SMH & Age this morning that to see some exciting youngsters running around on the park would be preferential to a few old stars. We won a premiership because we rebuilt & got some great draft picks. spider was too old when we got him, well & truly past his best & we should not go down that road again. Players like Vespremmi are the future of the club.
We also need to look at the type of player we draft, things like ballance, ability, ball usage percentage, competative marking ability, competetive possession & most of all heart.
We also need to get some good talls as our record in this area hasn't been good. Players like Leo Barry & Craig Bolton playing above their height. We need to have at least 12 mobile talls on the list all over 196cm. Depth is the lifeblood of a football team & we don't have much so how do we get it? We go down for a while & get some good draft picks. Going down is inevetable anyway in the current draft conditions so just get used to having a few bad years.

I think people are overrating Kerr here a bit. I would not be willing to give up our 1st rounder for Kerr, unless we had obtained another from another trade.

How about we concentrate on turning Veszpremi into the next Kerr for the time being?

I think Kerr was more damaging when he had Cousins and Judd in the same team. They would get the top two taggers, so Kerr only had the third string tagger on him. Now he has the better taggers on him he doesn't appear to be having the same impact as in past years.

Who is Shirley? Kerr has requested a victorian club. Probably to Blues.

With our midfield, he would get every tagger.
