Jude's should get assessed as high, reckless (he jumped after the ball was disposed of), low impact. I think that adds up to 5 starter point thingies. If anybody knows how the system works in detail, could they maybe work out how many demerit points that is with a good record and early plea (each a drop of 25%)?

Hall and Buchanan should be absolutely fine, I reckon. Hall's was soft as, and Buchanan's was a genuine contest.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I think Bolton's was far worse, because it was late, high, and he was off the ground.
Buchanon is most at risk because he jumped into the contact and raised his arm. If he does go it means we play Vez, Jack, Moore and Bird. Along with the Bee Gee and Bevo (let him off the leash FFS Roosey) the average age of our smalls has dropped by a millenium. They will be blooded in finals football which is no bad thing for the future of the club.

On the 9 Footy Show this morning they showed that in Bolton's case the ball was in the frame when contact was made. Looked to me as a glancing blow and the player threw his head back. Is for mine debatable whether he made head high contact at all.

Buchanan's was an almost simultaneous contact when the ball was in the contest. The thing about taking his eyes off the ball is always contentious as it is really hard in those situations not to take your eyes off the ball a fraction before contact. You naturally make some effort to protect yourself. On 9 they thought it was a collision and if he hadn't at the last split second turned side on it could have been a very heavy head clash. I don't think it could be anywhere near classed as a charge for what he has gone twice for.
Will be interesting because Stokes of Geelong has gone for a similar thing but was a fair bit later contact.

As for Hall, well I have seen it replayed at all angles today the only thing I can see is that maybe it was more a forceful push as I couldn't actually see a fist. With his record though it was an act of a man not showing a lot of nous. He will be very lucky to get off.

I thought the victorians were going to do the usual and book a swannie just before finals time.

                    2. B1 - got off the ground (as Voss said) but did he make contact with the head? If not, perhaps a reprimand.
                    3. Buchanan - I thought a genuine contest, although he did seem to recover rapidly from incipient concussion! May cop a week or two, which would be a bad loss. We need him there.
Close enough. Next, a prophecy for Saturday.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
