MOL and Playfair - what's the story?

Both players keep getting noted on the injury list as being a test or one week away from playing again, yet week after week we see or hear nothing of them. So what's the story? Are they any chance to play this weekend or at all again this season (if we win this weeekend)? It would be a huge boost for our forward line to have Magic back and the return of Playfair would give us some extra marking potential up front.

The loss of Micky for so many games has been a massive dissappointment this season, especially when he had been in such great form.

MMM have been perplexed about Magic, must be a complex ankle injury. Saw him standing upright at the ground at the Freo game I think, so he is not on crutches.

I had an encounter with Magic before Saturday night's game. He was asked (not by me) when he'd be back, to which he answered hopefully next weekend, but he didn't sound particularly hopeful. He wasn't walking with any noticeable limp, however.

Horse was asked after the game and said he'd had a run on Thursday but finished it "proppy" and so was unlikely for this weekend.

We don't need Playfair. Not interested in another player that can't finish.

Missing O'Loughlin though, that's for sure.

Does someone have the stats on playfairs accuracy on goals this year. I keep hearing how we dont miss his finishing but I sometimes wonder if this is a perception based on the "prettiness" of his kicking as compared to the realty.

I thought he really straightended us up in attack when he played and he was good in a contest.

                  Does not included complete misses.

Originally onseeing the figure I thought I would stand corrected on my theory but when I see that he is more accurate this year than Hall, O Keefe and Moore then all I really see is a whole bunch of bad finishers as opposed to one we dont miss.

I did say another bad finisher. We have too many of them.

I keep hearing this notion that Playfair, "straightens up our attack"... Most of his possessions happen where he leads to... near the boundaryline. How that can be read as "straightening up the attack", is beyond me..

Obviously you'd prefer none but Hall, O'Keefe and Moore bring a lot more to the table than Playfair in my opinion.

Given his dodgy style, poor penetration, and ability to miss easy shots, I ask, if a game is in the balance do you want Playfair taking the shot? Stats or no stats he'd be at the bottom of my list.
