There is no excuse to show the match on delay. Football fans need to be more demanding. Personally I hate watching a game which I know isn't live.
Why? What's the difference between a live game and a 30 or 60 minute delay from a viewing perspective?

I would except it is in Melbourne and I have to work so I can eat and be around to pay my membership each year.

          Commercials!
They double the amount of ads on delayed telecasts

How hard is it to not listen to the radio or look at the internet for 45mins???

For all intents and purposes, the game is live if you haven't seen it and don't know the scrore and outcome. And let's be honest, the game is still on if you do hear the 1/4 time score so it's hardly over then.

I don't mind listening to the radio and looking at internet during a game - not just RWO but to check player stats etc.

So when we play Geelong, you suggest an hours wait without knowing the score.

Good news if it is live now.

The thing I hate with delayed telecasts is that I can't relax and just have to find out the score, so I end up on my phone or the net getting updates.

If 7 doesn't want to shunt BH&G AND doesn't want to give it off to Fox, it is the perfect opportunity to use the technology and show it live on 7HD.

I know it's not perfect for those without access to HD, but it seems a reasonable compromise for 7 to do, 1 hour delay on normal FTA and live on HD.
