As I said before, if Hall marks and kicks badly he is given a hard time, Goodes cops a lot of criticism for going missing, Jude Bolton, rightly or wrongly, gets a hiding when he is off the boil. Kirk was amongst it last night but I didn't think he had the enthusiasm of the week before,or the passion.

If you had worded the question like this you may have gotten a different discussion because your point is somewhat valid. You're initial post was dripping with sarcasm and that usually means people won't see the validity of your argument.

It's pretty hard to argue with the premise of the post. Kirk is not and should not be beyond criticism.

I think the spurring the troops on thing has as much to do with the other players being willing and able (ala last week against North) as it does to do with Kirk being a leader (that being said, Kirk did lead by example last week). Otherwise, as you state, why could he not lift the team on Friday night?

North being a weaker side than the Bulldogs had a lot to do with it.

Umm, weren't we playing the 3rd best team in this year's competition? So doesn't it follow that perhaps we might not have been good enough to win this game? No matter how hard Kirky et al tried? We weren't disgraced by any degree, and true to form, they did not stop competing. As much as I want another flag, I am not going to bag any of the boys. Not any of the 22 out there, the coaches, the runners, the trainers. - however perhaps they need a top line kicking coach. Next year, well it could be a very different situation. Top 4 here we come!

Its the way you go about it. Please don't try and pretend you don't post these threads with the sole intention of throwing a cat amongst the pigeons for personal gain. I frequent forums alot. You are not unique. If you want your opinions discussed with any interest past derision, do it in a matter that doesn't isolate you from the other forum members.

Kirk wasn't great last night, I think the reason he has escaped criticism is because we had much bigger problems on the field.

How did you know that they pay me? It was meant to be a secret. How I go about things is how I (and to a degree them mods) decide to go about things.
