Bevan Last night = Jolly GF 06.

Wasn't the only reason for our loss last night but like Jolly in 06, he was a major contributor. Very disappointing after a pretty good year (In both instances).

I also thought Bevo went ok on a classy player who is very hard to match up on. There midfield dominated and we were beaten in the rucks. They ran the ball and setup into the 50 really well. Not much Bevo could do to stop that, he would have to rate behind McVeigh as one of our most improved.

        Cheers

I don't think it's so much a slight on Bevan - he's just not good enough to beat a fantastic player like Murphy. Rather it was an error by Roos to leave him there so long.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

Why did Roos start Everitt in the ruck in the 2nd half?

I've watched the entire season, and can't remember an instance where Bevan got so thoroughly beaten by his opponent. It doesn't mean he was the worst on the field, but his opponent had a very big influence on the game, and this contributed to us losing more than any of the other uneven match-ups on the night.

Saying that it was his worst game of the season is hardly much of a knock on Bev. He got done by a great opponent. It happens.

I don't know what Roos was thinking. Murphy had him on the lead and overhead all night. He kept the Bulldogs in the game in the first half and clearly got inside Bevan's head... as he made mistake after mistake coming out of the backline in the 3rd (errant handpass and kick come immediately to mind).
Reading this I think you stole my exact thoughts. Bevan kept them in the game in the first half.

I posted that Bevan was a danger to our finals aspirations last week and unfortunately he was the sole difference between a 2-3 goal lead and level pegging at half time.

I'm not saying we would hgave won without Bevan - probably not given our second half - but we should have been pumped up at half time with a 2-3 goal lead.

Our coaching staff is the only one in the league to not have detected Bevan as the achilees hell (yes hell) of the Swans.

                  IT IS SO BLOODY OBVIOUS.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
