Went for a walk this morning and things are very quiet around South Geelong, (especially compared to yesterday morning). I didn't go near the train station but I'm guessing that it would be pretty crowded, half of Geelong will be off to the parade, especially being school holidays.
Most of the shops around my area have signs up, closing early on Saturday.
Talking to my mum on the phone this morning, she's not happy, the village where she lives (Nambucca Heads north NSW) has a craft market on on Saturday. Don't they know anything, she says, of all the Saturdays in the year they should know better than choosing this weekend or next weekend (since she moved to NSW she's also a League supporter). She'll get up early go and sell her wares and come home in time for the big game.

The CATS will weave and run and carry and maintain possession AND THEIR composure to secure back to back GRANNY'S and will thoroughly deserve it.
If The Hawks win, every one of them will have played with composure and that won't happen.
Be happy for Geelong and the amazing Mr Thompson.

I daresay it'll be pretty quiet tonight....
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I wouldn't want to be wearing anything brown walking down Moorabil Street tonight. The local neanderthals will go nuts.
I don't think Geelong will cope well with all this. Things have gone to everyone's heads down there WAY too fast!

Well, we all know what it feels like.
I started work at 4pm yesterday so wasn't around when people started leaving KP after the game, but when I got home at 9am I noticed how very very quiet it is. I think last year half of Geelong stayed out all night. I did see two Hawthorn supporters on my way home.
I'm sure it will still be very busy today across the road with the family day on.
Des, how's the atmosphere at your place?CHER - Who has two types of blood cells "RED ones and WHITE ones"Comment
