Leos fine provided that hes not given the best or even second best forward each week. Really its time for some others like richards, LRT or grundy to take over the role he has played.

SourceOne year deal for Leo seems fair imo. There are no standouts in the current squad who can take the fullback position.Barry set to sign for one more year with the Swans
SYDNEY Swans? coach Paul Roos has confirmed that the club has offered veteran defender Leo Barry a one year contract extension.
Roosy stance on Davis is fair, although I feel he will be traded for benefit of both parties.Comment

When you see that surgery list it totally explains the dysfunction of our backline for 1/2 the season. Unbelievable.
I'm happy that Leo has another year. His mark is so iconic and the club can take great advantage of this in his farewell season.
He goes around pretty well and I can't see anyone on the list that can do a better job or a viable trade option that could come in and replace him.Comment

I don't begrudge it but its risky. Leo has appeared slow and with poor awareness all season. He's also struggled with the new rules. I can't see that changing over the off season.
Let's hope the match committee is brave enough to drop him IF he doesn't warrant selection."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

I would have thought it was far more arrogant to believe you knew more about the game than a 356 gamer and also premiership-winning coach.
I really don't see why saying I think Leo Barry is justifiably on our list is arrogant. Perhaps you should look up the definition.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

It's not arrogant at all.
It's an opinion.
I also think that Leo is fairly set in our top 22.
Hope he has a great season next year

Tend to agree with this. Roosy has apretty good idea of what's going on and a little faith from the faithful would be nice

Supporters are allowed to disagree with the coach. Roos obviously knows far more in total about football than any supporter but that doesn't mean that he is necessarily correct in everything he decides.Comment
-
Of course. That doesn't mean it's arrogant to agree with him though.
A LITTLE faith would be nice. Not complete faith, that's for fundamentalists, but a healthy respect for the man's experience, knowledge, and record.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

Ding ding ding: We have a winner!
It's neither a productive nor appropriate end to force him to wrestle gorillas and tear his hair out at soft push-in-the-back decisions for another year. For the love of god, put the man on a HBF/BP opposed to someone no taller than he is, and let him run and create. And maybe even take the odd pack mark! That will be going out on a high.Comment
