I think he's worth a punt and on face value we didn't give up much for him.

We seem to have a habit of picking up the maligned player and making him into a valuable contributor.

He's not elegantly quick like say a Judd, or jack rabbit quick like a Crouch. He's more like a rapidly shuttling crab. As pleasant to watch and a kick to match too!

I just don't see how recruiting a guy like Shaw is going to help us in the long run. Our premiership window is closed. Topping the list up every year by recycling players isn't solving anything.

The article says he's over the moon to come to Sydney, and that says it all.

Will set the benchmark for bloods in no time.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We need a Wojcinski not a Rhyce Shaw.....someone with burning pace, good decision making skills and good footy skills. All we have is a bloke who runs and carries at pace, then stuffs it up, and gets caight on the rebound. He'll frustrate the hell out of us.

I'm going to sit on the fence and take a wait & see attitude as I don't pay much attention to any team other than the Swannies so I don't know that much about him and there seem to be a lot of arguments both for & against on this thread so ATM I don't feel I can make a clear call one way or the other.

Having said that Welcome Aboard Rhycey.

                        I'm not.

Shaw is likely to replace Jude Bolton as the greatest source of my despair at ineffective kick to leading forwards.

He's a Willo fan and hopes to follow his lead. If he succeeds there he'll get some brownie points.

Shaw said he didn't feel he had been made a scapegoat for that mid-season drinking session.
At least he has the right attitude...

I doubt you need to worry about this happening. Shaw is a far superior kick.
