Well......which is it, the former or the latter? You claim you have done nothing to cause people grief, then in the next breath say you got pissed a lot and may have said things out of place. You can't have it both ways. hell, I'd go as far as to say you have probably caused some people grief on this site.
No-one is perfectly innocent, no matter how much they might try to kid themselves.
I thought this thread was about a person who is confessed drug addict, his comeback and the context of my reply being about when someone who uses the word blameless, and brackets Cousin's behaviour with that of law abiding citizens, as if we should be all forgiving for we also have sins regardless of the level or nature of such.
It appears that on a subject like this people will always be splitting hairs so at this stage I will agree to disagree.Comment

On selective memory; no I don't have a selective memory or any diagnosed memory issues.
On the Cousins topic, it is interesting to note that the tone of some posters to sites and callers to SEN, is that it is perfectly normal for people to have a criminal record or go against what is perceived as good social behaviour, and hence all should get a second chance.
Cheers.Comment

cuz for sale.....
How is the sports memorabilia pie divided....what do Cuz and other stars rake in? Richmond seem to be gaining new members (2000 plus reported) and it could have been us with rising memberships instead of losing members.Comment

Cousins would just be taking the spot of a Bird, or a Veszpremi, or maybe a Meredith, or maybe a DOK. For what? The sake of 3 years of potentially great footy from a single player, gaining us at best one or two places higher on the ladder each year until his hamstring falls off, or he relapses, or he simply retires?
Also, if you think Cousins would generate as much support for the Swans as he would for the Tigers, or any other Vic/SA/WA club, you're dreaming. Don't get me wrong, we'd get a few members, but Cousins is nowhere near the celebrity in Sydney that he is in the footy states. Allowing a group of young stars to rise will be much more effective in the long term in generating support for the team.Last edited by BSA5; 27 December 2008, 06:47 PM.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

Go Cuz
I take it you wanted Cousins. That's pretty ironic, "givekidsakick".

You are on to something there. If Cuz was signed up he and his associates would certainly give the kids a kick along after the game.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

One big party....
Yeah, I do remember some interesting times with the kids having a kick and the players of both sides having a beer together after the game. On the greens of the Moore Park Bowling club (deceased) my kids and others enjoyed a kick with some of the younger players eg Adam Heuskes whilst God and Kell and the boys had one in the rooms.Comment

Terrible football days, but the the accessability of players was wonderful for kids.
The team training on the Showground in the funny old gym in (?) the French Pavillion, and eating in the canteen under the Clocktower. The after game at the Moore Park bowling - a far cry from Melbourne footie hysteria.Comment
