I thought so, otherwise I wouldn't have made a Bevan reference. That bloke is comedy gold.

If he gets busted, I'm sure we'll all know about it soon enough.

      I think you're misjudging Cousins.
Maybe he just likes late night swims.
      People think the worst.
Considering that the little rascal is hawking his "story"about to the highest bidder the sporting public at least has a right to know whether there is an effective drug testing regime in place. Cousins should be tested for amphetimine every match day. Unfortunately there is no test for naivety for the general public except empty wallets

Luckily there is an accurate test for cynicism.
          It's called the RWO Forum.
          You failed the test

            Witty!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

              Right on!!
You are most certainly an old-school cynic.
              Welcome to the club.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Why am I thinking of the Spanish Inquisition all of a sudden?

I like this line of approach though. Personally I think that anyone who does not have voluntary drug tests is most likely taking drugs - particularly people who are always publicly preaching their moral and physical incorruptness. I think these types should be subjected to daily bloods tests (ouch) to prove that they are not hypocrites and liars.

Drugs are obviously ruining society, but don?t get me started on the people who suffer health issues associated with their poor lifestyle choices.

BTW: great game Cuz, as I've said before I'm putting Cuz in the fantasy team. Is there a RWO league?

Cousins is/was addicted to one of the most pernicious and hardest drug addictions to beat. If he manages or has managed to beat it good on him. But spare me the absurd moral relativism. The scum of the earth profit from these poor wretches weakness and misery. Some of this scum have been named in police wire taps clearly speaking as friends and associates of Cousins. He is a grub. And lets leave it there.

Yes moral relativism is absurd compared to the view that the world is divided into black and white/ good and evil. Not to mention how integral absurd speculation, innuendo and rumour mongering has been to the creation of the better parts of civilisation.

I?m still coming to grips as to whether Cuz should be judged by the choices he made or if he should be excused as the hapless victim of the scum of the earth. I suppose only the truly moral can make that decision.

                      OK.
He's to be judged by the choices he's made.
You can't blame the scum of the earth - the "ex"-junkie made the choice to associate with them.

Can anyone tell me why when the WCE won the 2006 flag that the "come back kid", took the persona on the dais, of a jockey whipping a horse.

Whatever it was. It was before his rehab, so has liitle, if anything, to do with this discussion/argument.

                              It is a red herring.
