    4. Struggled with injuries in the latter half of the season, but was a consistent and solid contributor in the first part, if far from spectacular.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

      No way! 6.

I have been watching the replays (I am retired, I am allowed) and I particularly noted that Noggy was employed in a specific role I hadn't really been aware of. The midfield gets the ball to him and he kicks long. That is his role. OK his kick for goal is pretty ordinary, he comes from a different line of Abletts. But he plays a specific team role which is set by the coaches, and that should be respected.

Yet, outside that "role", he is absolutely crappola.
Couldn't make a good decision if his life depended on it.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Is turning out to be a very average player which is dissapointing. He was awful this year. 3/10 from me.

Yes a very average year for NOG, pehaps carrying injuries and on the edge of being dropped on occasion. Roosy very big on having players to take on a specific role and NOG does this but this year nothing like 05 06.

              I gave NOG a 1. Sorry NOG.

I refuse to give him the benefit of injury and I don't think he'd want that either.

His 50% effective disposal rate is unacceptable.

Primmy, when did kicking it indescriminately and wrecklessly long into the forward line become a tactic of Paul Roos?

Not too many teams now days don't have lethal run off half back. Thanks to NOG's ripping tumble punts, our forwards chased a lot of tail in 08.

No points for his game this year - but I do like the way he runs on his toes like a ballerina - he got 3 points for that only.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

What role can justify a time on ground of only 70.6%.

What gut busting runs did he do compared to Jack (78.7%)or even Buchanan (77.5); or tough marking compared to Bolton (84.8) or Kirk (85.2).

For a "premiership credit player" to be required on the performing field so little having played 22 games, says he should not have been there at all.

To be fair to NOG the social papers suggest Hally was doing that anyway.

                        Gave him a 1 because there wasn't a zero......NFG.

As for playing a specific role; since when was putting the ball under your arm and running into a pack ala Rugby part of our game.

As I have said before, he will only ever be famous for kicking the ball to Cousins in the square in the 2005 GF. Since when does that get you GF brown nose credits.
