    Silver: Up $75
Bronze: Up $15 (but there is only a very small section allocated for these)

My seats under this system was gold in 08

I think it's a fairer system too, but these price hikes are really quite severe.
Really? I make it out to be like this:

If you used to have concession Stand seating ($275)

    Platinum : UP $70
    Gold : UP $10
    Silver : DOWN $50
    Bronze : DOWN $110

If you used to have concession Concourse seating ($199)

    Gold : UP $86
    Silver : UP $26
    Bronze : DOWN $34

Oh wait... I think I see what you mean.

They basically do not offer a "season ticket only" membership any more - they are effectively all "full club" memberships.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

      Gold : DOWN $15
      Silver : DOWN $95

If you used to have Adult Concourse Seats, and you are now....

      Gold : UP $60
      Silver : DOWN $20
      Bronze : DOWN $100

If you used to have Members Reserve memberships...

      Red Zone : DOWN $20

So it's really only the top category of seating from stand and concourse that are getting a price hike.

I don't like price raises, but in principle I agree with the concept of graded seating. If you want a better seat, you should have to pay more for it.
thank you I was right all along re the reduction of the Red Zone - Ange take note!

as long as it doesn't come over the PA system "the red zone is for loading and unloading" (those who have seen "Flying High" a hundred times will get that)

            Thanks rwgirl.

In that case, my membership last year was $496 - this year $545.

            STILL worth it.

I reckon the Bronze membership is the same as the Standard Season Ticket...

Of course I was offering a comparison. Why else would I post? But where did you draw the inference that I was "letting you know we were lucky ' etc????

Nope, it looks like they are whacking for the higher price - from a sample of one family membership out of our group of 8 seats (the rest of us haven't heard yet). "Flexibility" doesn't seem to cut both ways in that respect.

Probably read too much into what ROK was inferring. Didn't mean to attack, just not happy about the price increase!

My membership last season was $255.00 to continue sitting in Bay 29 at the SCG i have to pay $380.00 what a rip off for bascially the same membership package.

Given the current economic environment i do not know how all the families sitting around us and and including my family can continue to pay $380.00 each.

Why couldnt they change the membership packages but for people in those bays already and have been there for a long period of time be allowed to continue paying there existing membership price.
I have had this with another code my seating got upgraded and i continue to pay the lower membership price the only way it would go up is move to another area and then move back. To maintain loyalty to there members why couldnt the swans offer something similar????

10yrs of loyalty for a $130 membership price hike is making me reconsider if its worth it

I usually sit in the O'Reilly concourse and this is now gold, so with my premiership membership mine has gone up. I don't really mind for myself but I was going to join up my granddaughter this year and for her to sit with me it will cost $170, when last year it would have cost $85. I think that is a little excessive. They say they are trying to increase membership numbers before the western suburbs team comes into the comp, well putting the price of membership up isnt a very good way to do it.

Does anyone know if there will be public tickets available to the SCG next year? We used to buy a country membership which gives you access to the Noble stand for 5 games. However next year the Melbourne membership gives you entrance into 3 games in the Noble so we think we will just use that and buy tickets or guest passes for the extra 1 or 2 games but I don't know if they will be available and at what price. I don't want to pay a fortune to sit in the stands. Needless to say I have emailed the membership department and had no reply.

The new stand is due to be completed so can't see there will be too much trouble with public tickets. Until halfway through the season, of course, when the Swans are sitting unbeaten at the top of the ladder, Hall has the Coleman already in his pocket, and the Brownlow is already shaping as a two horse race between Goodsey and Bevo!
