(its a family site with a number kiddies posting) or tackling the life out of some poor bastard, taking match saving marks flying back into packs and being the glue that holds the defense together (therefore wearing the gritty No. 4). I know its unprecedented to award two seperate numbers to one player but any kid who can lay two tackles on two opponents at the same time deserves the honour.
you forgot to add that whilst wearing the number 4 that he is to stand there at least three times per quarter looking like a deer staring into headlights - and flapping his arms around basically doing nothing and letting his opponenet run off down the other end of the field. Also he must at least 4 times per quarter perform a turn over handpass Lets be consistent here!!!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Premiership players do not change their premiership number. As long as Bevan et al. continue with Sydney they will wear the same number they wore on 24 September 2005.

You forgot about watching his direct opponent whilst another opponent runs within 2 metres and kicks the winning goal.

He should just have step ladder marks on his back... for Thomas, Murphy, etc, etc.

Give the 4 back to Plugger where it belonged.

                Now that makes sense!

I don't think Bevo will change his number. He has had it a long time. Curry looks a nice fit for 4 though. Good thought.

I don't think we have much of a tradition about Premiership numbers......yet
There was a moment in one of the latter games where all three were on the bench and (possibly at one stage) standing side be side, it would've been a classic photo!

I have actually taken a very strong liking to those three. I now affectionately refer to them as "The Cygnets"! And I did a trade game on another site, and lined up Murphy, Natanui, Yarran, Barlow, Josh Hill, Veszpremi, Bird and Jack all together from 8 to 15!

                    I like numbers.

The number 4 should be given to a brick (like Plugger) or someone with the intelligence of a brick.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

That suits the last 2 people that have worn the number.

Instead of trying to fit the player to the number, why don't we try to fit a number to the number? eg, change the 4 into another number so that the stigma of the original number doesn't stain it. 4 can become 14 and vice versa by adding or taking away a prefix. Similarly, you could substitute 1 and 3 for example and relace it with 4 so that it would gain the reputations of two other numbers.....
